Purple Herple...a polish by jaybird!

Hello! How is everyone tonight? I've gotten in the hang of blogging in the evening now, and I'm liking it. I have much more time. I take my pics. in the morning, and post at night. So far, I think it's working out okay. :-)

I'm just going to show you one of her polishes tonight, but I actually have eight in total, and will be showing them all to you soon. :-)

Purple Herple is a med. purple. I want to say it's a jelly, but I'm not 100% sure. LOL! It has silver hex glitter and medium round multi colored glitter. It's super pretty, and I absolutely LOVE it! Application was great, and it kinda reminded me of BB Couture's formula. Which is a def. win with me. I used three coats.









I guess I lied last night, when I said today would be the last purple day. lol! I still have more purple to show you tomorrow, and that will be the last of it. ;-)

BB Couture Love Bug for Pink Wednesday!

On Wednesday's we wear pink, started last week, but I had already done my purple mani for that day. Pink Wed. is based off of the movie Mean Girls, but in a good, fun way. Some nail bloggers got together, and decided to make Wed. the day to wear pink polish if you love pink,the movie Mean Girls or both. Well I happen to love both, so I had to join in! For my first Pink Wed. I choose a fav. of mine. BB Couture Love Bug. Love Bug is a med. pink jelly with lots of gold micro. glitter. I love,love,love this polish! Then again, I absolutely love BB Couture glitters. They are some of the best. I used three coats of Love Bug, and application was fine.

Cover Girl Purplexed....Duochrome goodness!

Good evening! How has your day been? Mine's been pretty good, but I am exhausted for some reason! I feel like I could drop into bed already!

Last night, I had to run to Walmart for a couple of things, and as always I had to check the polish aisle. I didn't think I saw anything of interest, but just as I was about to turn the corner, I spotted this really pretty purple color on the very bottom shelf. There was only one left, and it was Cover Girl Purplexed. I have been looking for this polish forever! I've only ever seen it online. I was just a little bit excited to find it. LOL! I love it when I come upon unexpected finds. :-) Since I'm still doing purples, this was perfect. ;-)

I don't own hardly any Cover Girl polishes. This is the first one in ages that I've been interested in. It's a gorgeous duochrome that leans towards purple being the main color. It has flashes of green,gold an pink.

These pics. are not the best. There was zero sun out today, but I did my best. I think you can see how great this polish is. ;-)

China Glaze C-C-Courage

Well, it's back to my 7 days of purple for Epilepsy. I've fallen a little behind, but I'm going to do the rest this week. I'm sad to say, there won't be anymore Rock Chalk manis. :-( This year anyway. ;-) I actually had all my KU manis. planned out all the way to the final game in the final four. Ah, well. It wasn't meant to be this year. I'm still just a tad bit grumpy about it. We kinda take our basketball seriously around these parts. ;-)

Anyway, on to the purple. :-) Today I have on China Glaze C-C-Courage from the Wizard of Oz collection. It is a pretty polish, but I have to say, it's not my fav. I was hoping for more of a Ruby Pumps polish, only in purple. It was a little streaky, and some of the glitter did sink in to give it a bumpy look. Luckily my top coat fixed that right up. C-C-Courage is a grape purple color with light purple glitter through out.

Well, KU lost. It was bad. We should not have lost, but we played pretty awful. I was sooo stressed out I had to turn the tv off! Ugh. I don't know why I do that to myself. Anyway, short post. To see my mani. before the game, see the post right below this one.

Rock Chalk Mani #2...China Glaze Ruby Pumps,Dorothy Who and Lighthouse.

Happy Sunday! :-) Are you having a relaxing day? I'm trying to, but I am nervous!! I posted Fri. about my basketball team, the Kansas Jayhawks playing in the sweet sixteen. Well, they won! It was a fantastic game. Today, they are playing in the Elite Eight for a spot to the Final Four!!! It would be awesome to win it all like we did in 2008 but I just want them to get there! :-) Have I mentioned how much I love March Madness? LOL!

I'm taking another break from the purple today, and did a Jayhawk mani. I used China Glaze Ruby Pumps,Dorothy Who? and Lighthouse. All three were great to work with. I used two coats of Ruby Pumps and Dorothy Who, and three coats of Lighthouse.
















Thanks fo looking, and ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK....GO KU!!! ;-) I already warned my husband, that if we lose today, I will be in a bad mood! LOL! ;-)

Color Club Wild at Heart

I'm back to wearing my purple for epilepsy today, with Color Club's Wild at Heart. WAH is a deep, grape purple holo. It's super pretty, and I'm loving it! I've had it for over a year, and never worn it until now, for some odd reason. I'll def. be wearing it again. :-) Application was great, and I easily could have gotten away with one coat. I did two, because I needed to fill in some gaps of my own doing. This is going to be a short post today, so I'll let the pics. do most of the talking. Enjoy! :-)









By the way, I'm happy to say, that my KU Jayhawks did win last night! :-) I hope you are all having a good Sat.

My Rock Chalk Mani!! ;-) OPI Dating a Royal and Wet 'n Wild Prancer

Yay for Friday!! :-) Do you get into March madness? I do, and my college is playing tonight in the Sweet Sixteen. Kansas Jayhawks! :-) I'm nervous! LOL! I really,really want them to make it to the Final Four! I took a day off from my purple manis. and did today's using KU's school colors. I used OPI Dating a Royal with Wet 'n Wild Prancer over top.

Dating a Royal is a true royal blue creme. It was a PAIN to work with. It was very runny. I had to do a lot of clean up, but I think I got it on pretty well, considering how messy it was. I don't know if I got a bad bottle or what. Anyway, I used two coats with two coats of Prancer on top. Prancer was part of Wet 'n Wilds holiday collection. It's a red hex glitter. It's also one of my favs. I think I have about ten bottles of the stuff! ;-)

Icing Welcome to Miami mini collection, and NOTD Purple Passion

Good evening! I'm a little late in my posting today, but I wanted to post day two, of my seven days of wearing purple polish. :-) The color I have on today, Purple Passion is part of a new set from Icing. The set is called Welcome to Miami. It's a mini set that has five polishes. They were buy one get one half off, so I bought another new set with five glitter neons. I will post those for you to see soon.

First up I'll show you my mani. I used Purple Passion. It's a great little polish. I was surprised by how good it is. PP is a bright purple with silver shimmer. I really love all the polishes coming out that have this silver shimmer. It's my new fav. finish. If you've seen Essie's Mochachino, it's the same kind of shimmer. I used two coats of Purple Passion and application was great.

BYS VooDoo Violet and seven days of purple for Epilepsy.

Good afternoon! :-) How is everyone doing? This week I've decided to wear a different purple polish each day, in honor of epilepsy. Purple day for epilepsy is March 26. This is a very personal cause for me, as I have a seizure disorder. Thankfully mine is very well controlled with meds. but for a lot of people out there, there is nothing that helps. There has been good progress in some areas, but not all. Forty years ago, 30-40% of people with epilepsy had no therapy that would control their seizures. Yet still today, 30-40% of people with epilepsy have no therapy that will control their seizures. There are roughly 50 million people who with epilepsy, and one in three suffer with ongoing seizures. I am VERY thankful that I am one of the people, who has been able to be helped, but sad for those who have not. Hopefully one day, that will change. I know you are all here to read about and see polish, but since this cause is so close to me, I just had to say a little something about it.

The first of my purple polishes I've worn is BYS VooDoo Violet. I LOVE this polish! I got this in a swap I did with a polish friend in Australia. As far as I know they are only available there. I do believe they will ship to the US though. VooDoo Violet reminds me of China Glaze Atlantis only purple. It's a grape colored purple with medium and small sized silver glitter. The medium size is holographic. :-) Application was wonderful, and I used two coats.
