BB Couture Ares.....and Baby Possums.

How has your Monday been? I sure had an interesting night, last night. About 12:30am I let the dogs out in the backyard one last time before bed. Well my lab spotted a possum in our yard, and took off after it. He picked it up in his mouth, and then put it down again. Thank goodness he didn't kill it. I got my dogs back up on our deck, and turned to see the possum run off. I kept hearing a really odd noise, so I went back to the spot, and saw three tiny baby possum's on the ground. :-( Now, I know lots of people just plain don't like possums. I, on the other hand, might possibly be one of the biggest animal lovers around. I can't stand to see any animal hurt in any way.

I absolutely couldn't leave those babies to die in my yard. I ran in the house to look online, to be certain that's what they were. It was. I grabbed some rubber gloves and a sweatshirt, ran back to the babies, and put them in the shirt. I took them in the house (to the laundry room)warmed up a rice bag and put that under the shirt to keep them warm. I had no idea what I was going to do with them. I called a 24 hr. emergency vet, and asked them what to do. Turns out they are part of Operation Wildlife as well, so they said they would take them. So, I put the rice bag, shirt, and babies in a shoebox, got in the car, and drove to the vet. They took them, and said they would take care of them until they were old enough to be released. Thank goodness! :-) I really hope the mom is okay, and that she had other babies with her. It makes me so sad that she lost her babies. :-( I read that they can have around 13 babies, so I'm hoping she still has some.

So that is my interesting story of the day. Pretty much everyone I know, says I should have gone to vet school. At one time, I really did want to be a vet. However, I just don't think I could take the bad stuff. I would really suffer. So, I try to do what I can when I can for animals. I always say, I was put on earth to care for animals. ;-)

Okay, I'll get to the polish now since this is a polish blog. ;-) This mani. is one I did a couple of weeks ago, and never got around to posting. It's one of the new Spring polishes, from the BB Couture for Men A Touch of Greece collection. It's called Ares. It's a smoky dark gray with lots of of silver micro shimmer. I LOVE this polish. I didn't have any problems with application, and I used two coats.

Here's a pic. of baby possums that look just like the babies I found last night. This isn't my pic. and I didn't take any, as I was just trying to make sure they would be okay. ;-)

I sure hope tonight isn't as eventful as last night! ;-)

BB Couture Love Bug for Pink Wednesday!

On Wednesday's we wear pink, started last week, but I had already done my purple mani for that day. Pink Wed. is based off of the movie Mean Girls, but in a good, fun way. Some nail bloggers got together, and decided to make Wed. the day to wear pink polish if you love pink, the movie Mean Girls or both. Well I happen to love both, so I had to join in! For more info. on Pink Wednesday here is a link to On Wednesday's We Wear Pink! http://onwednesdayswewearpink.com/ Check it out, and join in if you'd like to. :-)

For my first Pink Wed. I choose a fav. of mine. BB Couture Love Bug. Love Bug is a med. pink jelly with lots of gold micro. glitter. I love, love, love this polish! Then again, I absolutely love BB Couture glitters. They are some of the best. I used three coats of Love Bug, and application was fine.

Close Up's.

Don't forget to wear your pink next week, girls! ;-)

So, are you going to do Pink Wed? Do you like the movie Mean Girls? Tomorrow, I will have the last of my purple manis. to show you.

Thanks for looking, and have a great night! :-)

St. Patrick's Day Mani. and Green Spam Part Two!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! I hope you are wearing your green today! ;-) I have the second part of my green spam to show you today. Since this is going to be kinda long again, I'm going to get right to it.

To start off with, here is my actual St. Patrick's Day mani. I used Sinful Colors Irish Green as the base,Ulta's Pinata-Yada-Yada on my ring finger and Nicole by Opi Twist of Fate on my pinky finger. On my middle finger I used stickers that I found at Sally's Beauty.

Sinful Colors Irish Green. IG is a very bright jelly green. Almost neon, but not quite. It is VERY sheer. I had to use five coats to get it to look like it does in the pics. and I could still see my nail line. It's a really pretty color. I just wish it wasn't so sheer.

The next mani. is one I also did today. It's pretty similar to the first one, but I just wasn't feeling it. It's okay. I used China Glaze Four Leaf Clover as the base,Amour Rain Glitter on my ring finer,Milani Gold hex on my pinky and sally's sticker on my middle finger.

Next up is Nars Zulu. Zulu is a deep forest jelly green. I used three coats, and application was pretty good. A little streaky, but with a color this awesome that's okay. ;-)

Zulu with Sinful Colors Call You Later on top. Call You Later is a mixture of different sizes of green glitter. It also has some gold glitter in it as well.

Close up...

Nubar Reclaim. I posted this a few posts back, so you can see it there for a review. I'll just say, its one awesome polish!! :-)

BB Couture Frosty Meadow. FM is a green jelly with silver and green glitter. Application was wonderful and this is two coats. This is another one of my fav. green polishes. It's pretty near perfect! :-)

Close up....

China Glaze Sour Apple. SA is bright green jelly, with lots of green, yellow and silver glitter. It reminds me of those Apple suckers that come out around Halloween. Or maybe the color of an apple jolly rancher. The formula was a bit thick, but nothing too bad I used three coats.

Close up...

Here is Sour Apple with Sinful Colors Green Ocean. Green Ocean is a clearish green base with flakies. It is a really pretty polish, but you have to work with it. It's VERY thick, and the flakies tend to want to stick out on the nail. I didn't have to much patience this time, so I ended up taking it off. This is with two coats of GO.

Whew!!! That was quite a few pics. I apologize if it seems like I flew this this entry. I'm kinda in a hurry to meet some friends, and I feel like I've been doing nail related things all day long! LOL! If you have any questions about any of the polishes I posted, feel free to let me know.

I hope you have a wonderful evening! I'll leave you with some yummy cupcakes! ;-)

BBC Fairy Blood & CG Pink Twinkle

I wore this combo for a couple of days this past week. I'm actually still wearing Borghese Nero Magico (the new black glitter...can be seen in previous post)and love it so much I didn't want to change it yet. Anyway, I started out with BB Couture Fairy Blood. I wore it for about a day and a half and then added Cover Girl's Pink Twinkle over top. I really like these two together. :-) BBC Fairy Blood is a deep red jelly with red glitter. I used three coats of it, and it applied great. Pink Twinkle is a pinkish base with pink/orange flakes. I used two thin coats of it over BBC VB.

First a pic. of the finished product ;-)

This is just the BBC FB....these two pics. aren't the best. It was actually while taking these, that I started feeling sick and dizzy and had to stop. :-(

In this pic. you are able to see the glitter better...

Another of the two polishes together

Bottle pics...First is BBC FB and then CG PT

I hope you all are having an awesome weekend! I'm off to get some ice cream with the husband. Peanut butter for me and strawberry double peanut butter cups for him. :-)

Sunset Prisms and Horned Devil

It's Monday again....ugh. lol...Did everyone have a good weekend? I hope so! Yesterday I did my nails with Maybelline Sunset Prisms. It's a really pretty orange color with flashes of green. I like it on it's own, but it applied a bit streaky. I had already applied three coats, and didn't want to mess with it anymore. So I went looking through my stash to see if I had a glitter to top it off. I decided on BB Couture Horned Devil which is one of my all time fav. polishes. It's an orange jelly with orange and gold glitter. I seriously love this polish. I think I might need a backup bottle. Speaking of BB Couture, do they usually put out a fall collection? I'm ready for some new BBC polish! :-) Anyway, I put one coat of Horned Devil over Sunset Prisms, and I quite like it. :-) These pics. were once again taken before clean up. It was getting cloudy, and I wanted to hurry.

another of both together

Bottle pic. of Horned Devil....I took a few of the Sunset Prisms bottle, but I just couldn't get them to come out right.

Well, I'm off to do a little polish shopping now. Wish me luck! lol! I hope you all have a wonderful Mon. or at least try to. ;-)

BB Couture Frosty Meadow and Vacation

This is going to be a short one, as I have to get up in five hours. I'm so not a morning person, so I need to get to bed. Also, I might not post much in the next week or so. I'm leaving for vacation, and I'm not sure how often I will be online. I am taking my laptop, so I'll probably check in from time to time. If I don't for some reason, I haven't left. I will be back soon. :-)

Today I did my nails with BB Couture's Frosty Meadow. It's a green jelly with lots of green, silver, and a little gold micro glitter. Application was good. I did three coats, but could have stopped at two.

Pic. of the bottle....look at all the glitter! BB Couture makes the best glitters.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Do you have any big plans?

Hidden Treasure & BB Couture Cosmopolitan

Happy Friday everyone! How has your day been? Good, I hope. I'm happy to say, that I already have 40 followers! Welcome to ALL of you! I'm happy to have you along. :-) My day has been pretty good. Had to take the dogs to the vet this morning for their yearly shots, blood work etc...They were not happy dogs. :-( Everything went very well though, and they have been napping since they came home. Poor pups wore themselves out being anxious. Here are my babies...Napa is the black lab. and Buster is the beagle.

I love them so. :-) They are my babies, along with my two cats and horse. Anyway, came home from the vet, and decided to go have a pedicure. It was quite nice, and I had my toes done in Zoya Nidhi. Such a pretty sparkly red. Got home, and the husband and I went out for ice cream. When I got home, I was bored, and decided to put a coat of SH Hidden Treasure over my mani of BB Couture Cosmopolitan. It turned out pretty well. Of course I had to take pics. so here they are....

Do you have Hidden Treasure? How do you like it?
