I'm really back this time! New China Glaze,Icing, and Girly Bits.

Hi guys! Long time, not talk....again. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to bail on you all. At all. I really appreciate you sticking with me. More than I can say. Life just got pretty busy for me. Some good, some not so good things. I have really missed blogging though, and am back for good. I have so much polish, and so many manis. to show you guys it's crazy. I may not have been blogging for awhile, but I was still doing manis, and taking pics. of all of them. So, I'm kind of backlogged. I guess that's kind of a good thing? That just means I have a lot more to blog about, huh? ;-)

I hope all of you in the United States, had a happy 4th of July! Those of you not living here, I hope you had a great day! ;-) I ate entirely too much! We had a BBQ with just tons of food, and desserts. It's been extremely hot here this summer, so there has been a burn ban on fireworks. Our city still had the fireworks display tonight, so we went to that.

It's 1:30 in the morning here so technically, it's not July 4th anymore. However, I'm going to show you my July 4th mani. I hope that's alright. ;-)

I started out using Star Spangled from Girly Bits. It's a blue jelly, with red and blue glitter. It also has red bar glitter in it. I absolutely LOVE this polish. It's pretty much perfection in a bottle. It applied like a dream. I had absolutely no problems with application at all. I used two coats. I then applied a new polish from Icing called Patriotic Princess. PP has holo stars, and round medium sized red and blue glitter in a clear base. I was prepared for the stars to be hard to get out, but they weren't! I think this might be the first polish, that has stars in it, that they were actually easy to get out. That I own anyway. I just used one coat over SS.

I have one more mani. to show you today. I wore this one yesterday....well, the day before the 4th. ;-) I keep forgetting that it's actually the 5th now, since it's so late.

Anyway, I started out using China Glaze Adventure Red-Y which is a great red creme from the new Safari collection. I found it at Sally's Beauty Supply. I was surprised to see the collection out already. Adventure Red-Y applied pretty well. It was just a little sloppy, but I'm not sure if that was the actual polish, or just myself being in a hurry. I used two coats, but you could def. get away with only one! I layered one coat of Meteorites Moonshot on top. Moonshot is has red, silver, and blue bar glitters in a clear base. I don't know too much about this brand, except they make quite a few really great bar combos. You can find most of them on ebay, which is where I got mine.

Lynnderella Sweets to the Sweet over CG Lemon Fizz

Good evening! I know I'm a few days late, but I'm going to show you my Easter mani. I started out using China Glaze Lemon Fizz, which is one of my fav. pastel yellow's. I'm not the biggest fan of pastel's. Well, I guess that's not entirely true. I do like them color wise. I just don't like working with pastel polish. I don't like the chalkiness it leaves behind, if it gets on your skin. I do have my favs. of each color though, and for yellow it's CG Lemon Fizz. It's not terribly hard to work with. I used two coats of LF and two coats of Lynnderella Sweets to the Sweet. I LOVE Sweets to the Sweet! For some reason it just reminds me of jelly beans, or jelly candy. It has a milky white base, that's pretty thin. The glitter is made of multi colored squares and hex, with some white square glitter thrown in.

My New Year's Eve Mani....Lynnderella Change & CG Blue Year's Eve.

Hey guys! Happy New Year's Eve! ;-) Did you have a good Christmas? Do you have any big plans for tonight? I'm getting ready to head out, but wanted to get my NYE mani. posted before the night is over. :-)

I started out using two coats of China Glaze Blue Year's Eve, which is from the CG Holiday 2011 collection. BYE is a deep blue glass fleck. Application was a little runny, but nothing too bad.

I then added two coats of Lynnderella Change. Changes is made up of different shades of gold, copper and red glitter. The glitter is multi shaped....squares,round and hex of different sizes.

First up, the finished mani.

Halloween Manis!!

Happy Friday!!! Wow, has this week flown by for me! I've been a bad blogger, and only posted ONE blog this week. :-( I'm really sorry. Thanks for sticking with me though. This week has been very unexpectedly busy for me. I've had things going on every single day/night that just sorta came up. So that's why I've been sorta MIA lately.

I do have lots of pics. to show you today though. :-) I'll start off with the simple one, and the one I loved. A couple of years ago, Color Club had a mini Halloween set. I really only wanted it for one color. Abracadabra. I finally got my hands on it, not too long ago, and it didn't let me down. ;-) Abracadabra is a gorgeous, squishy orange jelly with gold and orange glitter. I have nothing like it, and I LOVE it. I so wish they made this in a regular sized bottle. I'd probably hoard the stuff. LOL! Application was great, and I used three coats.

Of course, I had to try it with my Essie Matte About You. It turned out pretty cool. ;-)

Non Matte and Matte Close ups.

Now to the second Mani...This one turned out to be a kinda fail, kinda cool mani. If you know what I mean? I started out with two coats of China Glaze It's Alive, which is a really awesome polish. I will def. have to wear this on it's own sometime. It's Alive is a swampy green jelly with round and hex green glitter. I've heard that people have had some issues with this being a pain to apply, and that it was too thick. I didn't have either of those issues. It applied great, and wasn't thick at all. I used two coats. I then added a coat of OPI Black Shatter, and then a coat of China Glaze Ghoulish Glow to the top. The Ghoulish Glow was the fail. It didn't glow at all. I went in a very dark room, and it just didn't work. :-( The bottle glowed, but not my nails. I have no idea why. Maybe I needed to add another coat or something. Anyway, it did give the mani. more of an over all Halloween look to it. I also added a pumpkin sticker to my ring fingers.

I guess it turned out okay. Just not what I was expecting. So kinda fail, kinda not. ;-)

Fallen Leaves Mani.

Good evening! How has your Monday been? Mine's been quite good. Still no word from the vet though. Hopefully, we will have more news tomorrow. I belong to a couple of online nail forums, and one of them has themes from time to time. Today's theme was fallen leaves, and I decided to take part in it.

I started out using China Glaze Below Deck, which is from this year's summer collection. Below Deck is a taupe color with a creme finish. I then used several different colored glitters. I used a burnt orange glitter, by a brand I picked up at Marshall's called Color Zone. The green glitter is by Love & Beauty which you can find at Forever 21. It's just called green. How original, huh? :-D It's an exact dupe to LA Girl's Purge from the Glitter Addict collection. It has small green glitter, and medium sized round green glitter. I used Wet 'n Wild Prancer from last year's holiday collection. It's med. sized red glitter in a clear base. The gold glitter pieces are NYX Girls Gilded Glitter. Of course, I had to see what it looked like matte, so I used Essie Matte About You.

First up, are the pics. before I used the Matte top coat.

CG in the City,CND Red Sparkle & small update on my dog.

Good afternoon! I want to thank you all so much for the good thoughts, prayers, etc. for my dog. We went to the vet on Fri. and he had x rays and blood work done. The x-rays were clean! Thank goodness! The blood work was a little off in some places, and better than it has been in other places.

A little bit of a background info. on Buster. (Feel free to skip to the bottom, if you just want to get to the nail pics. etc.)

About a year and a half ago we took him to the vet for his yearly shots etc...his white blood cell count was really low. He had tons of tests done and all were normal. We finally figured out that his own system was attacking itself. Why? No idea. The good thing, was that he showed absolutely no symptoms of being sick. We never would have known if he hadn't had his yearly check up. He was started on a cocktail of meds. with Prednisone being one of them. We went in every week for blood work, then every two weeks, and now every month. I have a love/hate relationship with the pred. I love that it helps his white blood cell count, but HATE what it does to my poor dog. It's caused him to gain so much weight, that he can't do things he used to love. Like going on long walks etc...He's still a happy dog, but it makes me so sad to see him like this. You aren't supposed to be on pred. for a long time. The problem is, it's the only thing that was working. He can't have a zero immune system either.

Well, turns out his twitching that started on Thurs. night is because of the Pred. I'm so thankful that it's not something worse, but it's not good either. He needs to get off the Pred. but what happens if his blood count goes down again?! It's so tough. Right now, his white blood cell count is FINALLY at a good level. Our vet is going to talk to the specialist tomorrow and see if we can slowly start to get him off the Pred. Hopefully, the answer will be yes, and hopefully Buster's blood levels will stay up where they should be. Without the Pred. He also has a gallstone. They are going to let us know what to to about that tomorrow as well. Our vet said that it's very common for a dog to have gallstones, so hopefully that won't involve anything too much. If you could continue to keep Buster in your thoughts and prayers etc....We would really, really appreciate it.

Those of you who've read this far, thank you! ;-) I will get on to my nails now. I have on one of the China Glaze fall polishes today. It's called CG in the City. It's a sheer glitter, but I got it to be opaque on it's own, in three coats. It has black, purple, copper, and silver glitter. Application was great. Even though I did use three coats, dry time was super fast. I love it on it's own, but decided to add just a bit more color to it. I added one coat of CND Effects Red Sparkle on top. RS is a fine red glitter in a clear base.

First up are pics. of the two together.
