I'm back.......and Candeo Divebomb mani! :-)

Hey, guys!!! I've missed you all so much! Wow...it's been over a month since my last post. I don't think I've ever gone that long without posting before. I THOUGHT in my last blog, that my troubles were over. However, I was wrong. My horse got really sick again. :-( We almost lost her, but she pulled through....again. I was an absolute mess. I couldn't focus on anything but her. I'm sure you all know by now, how I feel about my pets, so that most likely doesn't surprise you. Shortcake (that's my horse) was at the vet for a week again, and when she was able to go back to her stable, I was there about five times a day, for a few weeks or so. Then my poor Grandma wasn't feeling well again, and my stepson was in a car accident....in my car. Luckily, my Grandma is doing well again, and my stepson wasn't hurt. Sometimes, life just seems to go crazy, if you know what I mean. I almost hate to say it(lol) but I think things are back on track now. Knock on wood!!! LOL! ;-)

Anyway, enough of that...I am SO behind, and have so many manis. to show you all. I still did my nails as much as possible, and have lots of pics. etc...to catch up on. I've recently really started to love the Indie polishes that are coming out. There are so many new ones, that my wishlist is miles long! ;-) The polish I'm going to show you today, is made by Candeo. You can find it on Etsy, here....http://www.etsy.com/shop/CandeoColors She's not open at the moment, but she has some great colors, and will be open again soon.

The polish I'm going to show you is called Divebomb, and it's pure awesomesauce! It's a glitter topcoat made up of tiny blue glitter, tiny copper glitter, med. hex turquoise glitter, and large copper hex glitter. It's so super shinny! Even without a topcoat it shines like crazy. I layered two coats of Divebomb over two coats of Orly Royal Navy. I did use a topcoat, since I left it on as my mani. Application was absolutely perfect!

Thank you all so much for sticking with me through all my time away. I promise to be a better blogger from now on. ;-) Hopefully life has really calmed down this time, and I can get back to my daily,or every other day posts.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

New Icing Glitters....swatches and review...Part 1

Good morning! Today's post is going to be a long one.....I have lots of pics. to show you. I was in Icing the other day, and found new glitters! They have so many good glitters there, it's crazy! I got several, and actually left some behind. I'm sure I'll get them eventually though. ;-) As always they were buy one get one 50% off. I don't think that ever changes, and I hope it never does! ;-) While I was there, the girl checking me out, happened to mention that they are getting Magnetic polishes within the next week! I'm so excited to try them out. I don't have any magnetics yet, but I've wanted some forever! I'll def. be grabbing them when I see them. ;-)

Okay, on to the pics! :-) (by the way, click on the pics. for a much better view of the glitters)

Written in the Stars-a clear base with a blueish tint, it has med. round holo pieces, and blue holo stars. Application was good, but you do kind of have to pick the stars out. They are a little hard to get, but not terrible. I've def. had worse, and this polish is so pretty, it's worth it. I layered it over another Icing polish. This polish doesn't have a name, and it came in a cube with four minis. It's a med. blue with lots of silver shimmer. Application was great. The formula was a bit on the thin side, so I used three coats.

Pics. of the two together.

Matted

The mini. blue polish without a name....I really wish it had a name, and a full sized bottle. I really love this polish!

Next is my fav. of them all....After Party. AP is made up of multi colored shreds of glitter. I def. don't have anything like it. At all. I was a little worried about how this one would apply. I was afraid it would stick up or be rough, like some bar glitters are. However, it applied wonderfully, and completely smooth. I was really surprised. I applied two coats over Finger Paints Black Expressionism.

Matted

Last, but not least, is Birthday Beyotch....ha,ha...love the name! ;-) BB is made up of multi colored, small and med. sized round glitters. I know we've all seen this one before, but I just can't seem to pass up a multi colored glitter....plus the name kinda rocks. ;-) I applied two coats of BB over Revlon Jelly. Jelly is a bright pink jelly. I think it might be my fav. pink jelly. Application was great, and I only needed two coats for it to be opaque.

Pics. of the two together first.

Whew! That was a lot of pics. to post! What do you think about these new glitters? Do you plan to pick any of them up, or have you already? I'm really loving them...Icing does know how to make a good glitter polish. ;-) I will have Part 2 for you in the next few days or so.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you have a great Sunday! :-)

Finger Paints Flakie Collection! Swatches and Review.

Good morning! Back to the normal work week today. I have to admit, I have been ready for things to get back to normal for awhile now. I'm not sure why. I had lots of fun, and this is one of my fav. times of the year. However, I was just so busy this time around. Even though most of it was enjoyable, when you have too much it just starts to wear on you. Anyway, I'm glad to be back to normal. ;-) I know I've slacked greatly in blogging for the past month or so. Now that it's not so crazy busy around here, I plan to be back on a more normal basis. Yay! ;-)

Finger Paints has an awesome new flakie collection, sold at Sally's Beauty. They are around $4.49 each or $3.49 with a Sally's beauty card. There are five polishes in the collection. They were supposed to be put out on shelves on Jan. 1 but a lot of stores put them out early. I've had mine for a couple of weeks now. They are a limited collection, and are selling fast, so grab them while you can. ;-)

This is a pic. heavy post....I hope you don't mind. ;-)

I used one coat of Finger Paints Black Expressionism as a base coat for the flakies. BE is my absolute holy grail black creme. Seriously. Everything about it is awesome. One coater, doesn't chip, application is wonderful and it's pretty much perfect. ;-) I'll post a pic. of it at the end. Anyway, since there are five polishes, I swatched them at the same time.

L-R Flashy,Flecked,Twised and Motley

My thumb has Asylum on it.

Now I'm going to show you close up's of each one. First up is my fav. of the collection, Twisted. It has blue, purple, orange, green and yellow. It might be my fav. flakie polish ever. I really hope I can find more of it. I NEED back ups! :-)

Second is, Flashy. It's your typical orange/yellow/green flakie. It's the most dupeable of the bunch. It's similar to Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure and Essie Shine of the Times.

Third is, Flecked. It had green and blue flakes, with green being the most dominant color.

Fourth is, Motley. It has blue and purple flakies, with blue being the dominant color.

Last but def. not least, is Asylum. This is my second fav. of the bunch. It has Orange, blue and purple flakies, and in the right light it flashes green and yellow.

Here is another pic. of them all together. L-R Flashy,Flecked,Twised and Motley

I decided to layer all five flakies on each nail, and got a rainbow of flakies! I love it! This pic. doesn't do it justice.

Then I decided to see what they would look like matted, and used a coat of Essie Matte About You.

While I really did like the matte version okay, I decided I didn't like it quite enough to leave it. I ended up adding a coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast, to make it shinny again. I think these flakies were meant to shine. ;-)

Here is a pic. of Finger Paints Black Expressionism that I talked about above.

What do you think of the Finger Paints Flakies? Do you plan to pick any of them up? Or have you already? I'm really loving them, and hope to find more, so I can get a couple of back ups for Twisted for sure.

Thanks so much for reading, and I hope you all have a wonderful day! :-)

My New Year's Eve Mani....Lynnderella Change & CG Blue Year's Eve.

Hey guys! Happy New Year's Eve! ;-) Did you have a good Christmas? Do you have any big plans for tonight? I'm getting ready to head out, but wanted to get my NYE mani. posted before the night is over. :-)

I started out using two coats of China Glaze Blue Year's Eve, which is from the CG Holiday 2011 collection. BYE is a deep blue glass fleck. Application was a little runny, but nothing too bad.

I then added two coats of Lynnderella Change. Changes is made up of different shades of gold, copper and red glitter. The glitter is multi shaped....squares,round and hex of different sizes.

First up, the finished mani.

China Glaze Blue Year's Eve on it's own.

Thanks for reading, and I hope whatever you are doing tonight, you have a fun and safe time! :-)

New Sally Hansen Gems Crush swatches and review!

Good evening! I have a great new Sally Hansen collection to tell you about. I had no idea there was going to be another SH collection out already. I found them at CVS. The collection is called Gem Crush. There are eight polishes, and they are all glitters! They look like a mix of the OPI Muppet collection and the China Glaze Eye Candy collection. I don't have any of the CG Eye Candy collection yet, but I do have all of the Muppets. I have to say, that I actually like the Sally Hansen collection better. The reason being is, they apply opaque in one thick coat, or two thinner coats. How great is that?! Also, they are fast drying, and they do dry very fast. I also love the brush. It covers most of my nail in one swipe. They are pretty much awesome all around. I have two of these to show you in this post, and will show you the rest in the next few days.

First, here is a pic. of all the bottles.

L-R Glitz Gal,Lady Luck,Big Money,Cha-Ching,Razzle Dazzler,Showgirl Chic,Be-Jeweled and Bling-tastic

I wore Showgirl Chic yesterday, and loved it! It's a silver glitter with blue hex glitter. It looks like a dupe to China Glaze Lorelei's Tiara. I used two coats, and application was wonderful.

Today, I have on Lady Luck which is a deep pink, with silver holo hex glitter. I used two coats, and application was great on this one too.

Bottom line.....if you are a glitter lover, you need to get these. :-) They are fantastic. This is one of my fav. collections in a while. I found them at CVS, and I think that's the only place they've been found so far. I'm not sure if it's a limited collection or now. Hopefully it's not, and that way they will be easier to find.

Thanks for reading, and have a great night. :-)

Essie Bobbing for Baubles and Lynnderella Shape Shifter

Good morning! I'm so sorry I haven't blogged in a few days. I guess I needed a tiny break. I'm back though! ;-) I hope you all had a good weekend. Did you do anything fun?

I have one of the new Essie winter polishes to show you today. It's called Bobbing for Baubles, and it's a smokey blue color. It leans more blue than grey, but the grey is def. there. It looks more blue in person, than it does in pics. You can def. see the grey in the pics. I took. Application was absolutely wonderful, and I really could have gotten away with one coat, but I still used two.

I got three more Lynnderella polishes last week, and decided to use one over Bobbing for Baubles. I used Shape Shifter. In one word, this polish is AWESOME! I love it! It's made up of lots of different silver glitter shapes and sizes. Some of the shapes are large holo hex glitter, med. hex, squares, bar glitter, stars, moons, flowers, diamonds, fine silver glitter, and I even found a butterfly shaped glitter in my bottle! It's basically a bottle of awesome! ;-) I used two coats of Shape Shifter over Bobbing for Baubles. I love this mani. so much that I still have it on, and I put it on, on Thurs. That's a long time for me, when I usually change my polish every day. :-)

First up, are pics. of both polishes together.

Essie Bobbing for Baubles

I found the Essie winter collection at Ulta, and I've also seen it at Target and Walgreens. I just bought this one polish from the collection, but I might go back for a couple more. ;-)

Have a great day! :-)
