Essie Luxeffects Shine of the Times

Good morning! How has your week been going? Mine continues to be crazy busy! I'm ready for the weekend!

I had a nail catastrophe over the weekend, and now my nubbins have nubbins. :-( Ugh. I am so annoyed by this, but what can I do? It's been a long time since I had to file my nails this short. The timing sucks too. I have lots of good Holiday manis. planned, and now my nails are short. Hopefully they will grow fast. If any of you have any tips to get fast growing nails, please share! ;-)

I finally found the Essie Luxeffects collection at Walgreens. I grabbed two of them, but am thinking about going back for the rest. I have a lot of free points to use before Jan. so I think I might be able to get them for free!

The one I'm going to show you today is the flakie. It's called Shine of the Times, and it's a mostly orange flakie, but there are some green flakes in it too. I layered it over Sally Hansen Forbidden Fudge. FF is a dark brown, and it has some gold sparkle to it. I used two coats of it, and application was pretty good. It was just a little runny, but nothing too bad.

Sally Hansen Forbidden Fudge...these aren't the best pics. but I think you can get an idea of what it looks like. It really is a pretty polish, and looks much better in person. ;-)

Thanks so much for looking! Have a great day! :-)

More Sally Hansen Gems Crush Swatches!

Happy Friday!!! :-) I'm ready for the weekend, how about you? I have two more of the Gems Crush polishes to show you today. I can't stress enough how much I love these! The next two I'm going to show you, are Big Money and Cha-Ching!

I'm wearing Cha-Ching! today, and it's a gorg. red glitter with round silver glitter. Application was again, great, and I used two coats. This one reminds me of OPI Muppets Gettin' Ms. Piggy With It,China Glaze Eye Candy Love Marylin. The difference is, that this one is opaque in two coats. Or one thick coat.

Big Money is a goldish tan color (does that even make sense?)with round lavender glitter. This one is pretty unique. I can't think of a color like it. As with all of these, application was great, and I used two coats.

Thanks so much for reading, and I hope you are having a wonderful Friday! :-)

New Sally Hansen Gems Crush swatches and review!

Good evening! I have a great new Sally Hansen collection to tell you about. I had no idea there was going to be another SH collection out already. I found them at CVS. The collection is called Gem Crush. There are eight polishes, and they are all glitters! They look like a mix of the OPI Muppet collection and the China Glaze Eye Candy collection. I don't have any of the CG Eye Candy collection yet, but I do have all of the Muppets. I have to say, that I actually like the Sally Hansen collection better. The reason being is, they apply opaque in one thick coat, or two thinner coats. How great is that?! Also, they are fast drying, and they do dry very fast. I also love the brush. It covers most of my nail in one swipe. They are pretty much awesome all around. I have two of these to show you in this post, and will show you the rest in the next few days.

First, here is a pic. of all the bottles.

L-R Glitz Gal,Lady Luck,Big Money,Cha-Ching,Razzle Dazzler,Showgirl Chic,Be-Jeweled and Bling-tastic

I wore Showgirl Chic yesterday, and loved it! It's a silver glitter with blue hex glitter. It looks like a dupe to China Glaze Lorelei's Tiara. I used two coats, and application was wonderful.

Today, I have on Lady Luck which is a deep pink, with silver holo hex glitter. I used two coats, and application was great on this one too.

Bottom line.....if you are a glitter lover, you need to get these. :-) They are fantastic. This is one of my fav. collections in a while. I found them at CVS, and I think that's the only place they've been found so far. I'm not sure if it's a limited collection or now. Hopefully it's not, and that way they will be easier to find.

Thanks for reading, and have a great night. :-)

New Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Teal-y Cool

Good morning! Today, I have on another one of the new Sally Hansen Xtreme Wears. This is one of the polishes being found at Walgreens only. I finally found them last night. I was starting to think they were everywhere, but KS! Walgreens seems to have three exclusives in this collection. The rest of the collection can also be found at Target, minus those three. Teal-y Cool is one of those three. It's a clear teal base with blue, teal, and a copper color glitter. It's best used as a layering polish. I used it over an older Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear. The Real Teal, which is a gorgeous teal with shimmer.

Here are a couple of pis. of The Real Teal on it's own.

Thanks for looking, and have a great day! Hope you are staying cool! ;-)

I'm back!! ;-) NOTD Sally Hansen Very Cherry.

Hey guys! How is everyone??? It feels good to be back! I missed my blog buddies!:-) I was gone longer than I thought I would be, but I had a GREAT vacation. We went to Steamboat Springs, Co and it was so nice there. The weather was perfect, but it sure is hot back home, in KS. I mean it's HOT! When we got home it was 108 degrees. I wish I could have brought the awesome CO weather home with me. I picked up a lot of great polishes while I was away, and when I got home, I found more new collections here. One of them is he new Sally Hansen Xtreme Wears. I picked up most of them, and today, I have on Very Cherry. It's a great pinkish toned red with lots of silver shimmer. Application was pretty perfect, and I used two coats.

Have you seen this collection? I found it at Target, but I hear it's also showing up at Walgreen's with four extra colors. I haven't spotted them myself, but I'm going o check again today. Well, it's good to be back and thank you for sticking with me! :-)

Multi Shapes Glitter Mani.

Good evening! Have you had a good weekend? Mine was pretty good. Yesterday, hubby took me to Dave and Buster's for my birthday. I had never been before, and had a great time. :-) I've pretty much done nothing today, and it's been quite nice. ;-)

The mani. I'm showing you tonight is the one I wore yesterday to D&B's. I used seven different polishes. I started out with one thick coat of Essie Marshmallow, a squishy white. I then added one coat of Ulta Pinata-Yada-Yada, a multi colored/sized, glitter. Next, I used one coat of Love My Nails, All That, a purple, blue, and silver square glitter in a clear base. Then Sally Hansen In The Spotlight, a hologram bar glitter. After that, I added a few colored stars from Dear Laura pa AA03. Next, I added one coat of Love My Nails Pot O' Gold, diamond shaped glitter with regular gold glitter. Finally, I added a coat of Essie Matte About You, and I was done! I wasn't sure how this would turn out, but I ended up loving it! It was not thick at all for using so many polishes, which is what I was worried about.

First two pics. are with the matte top coat.

Close Up.

The next two pics. are without the matte top coat.

Polishes I used...from L-R Essie Marshmallow,Ulta Pinata-Yada-Yada,Love My Nails All That,Sally Hansen In the Spotlight,Dear Laura pa AA03,Love My Nails Pot O' Gold and Essie Matte About You.

Thanks for looking, and have a great night! :-)

My Easter Mani. and Happy 13th Birthday to my Morris Cat!

HAPPY EASTER! I hope you've all had a wonderful day. Did you do anything special today? I went to church with my family and then we all had a nice yummy lunch. My parents still give me an Easter basket so I got a basket full of awesome Easter candy. I absolutely LOVE Easter candy. It's my fav. :-) I've been relaxing pretty much the rest of the day. My husband and I, ended up with our beagle at the ER vet yesterday, for five hours. He's fine now thank goodness. I was so worried about him. Anytime one of my fur kids gets sick, I worry so much. They are my babies. All is well now though.

I did a skittle mani. for Easter. I used two of the new Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polishes. Blue-Away which is a pale baby blue and Pink Blink. PB is a light baby pink. I was really surprised by how well they applied. I was all ready for them to be streaky since they are pastels. However, they weren't at all. I also LOVE the brushes on the Insta-Dries. They cover my nail in almost one swipe. I could have def. gotten away with one coat of these, but I did my usual two.

I also used two polishes from the Elf spring collection. Blue Mist, which is def. not blue, but a mint green color, and Lilac which is pastel purple. Both of these also applied well, and I used two coats each.

The last color I used is China Glaze Lemon Fizz. A yellow pastel. Application was a little streaky, but really not too bad at all. I used two coats.

I then used one coat of Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure over top of them all.

Pics!

Without Hidden Treasure.

Close Up's with HT.

Also, today is my Morris cat's 13th birthday! I found him 12 years ago (he was one when I found him) in a dark park, took him home, and fell in love with him.♥♥♥♥

HAPPY 13th BIRTHDAY MORRIS!!! (and MANY more to come!) :-)

Thanks for looking and Happy Easter! :-)

Part One Of My Green Spam! Dare to Wear,Kleancolor,Old Sally Hansen Glitters,Color Club Glitters and more! :-)

I know over the past couple of weeks I haven't posted as much. However, I have still been doing manis. and taking pics. of them. Most of them have been green, in honor of St Patrick's Day tomorrow. I have so many that I've decided to break them up into two parts. Part one is today, and I'll do part two tomorrow. I am sorry I haven't been posting as much. I just haven't been feeling so well lately. I did go to the doctor and all my tests results were normal. Thank goodness. I did have to have a tetanus shot, and think I've had a reaction to it. Fun times.

Anyway, on to the green spam! :-)

This is Kleancolor Leaves Jingle. It's one of my new fav. greens. I just love it. It's a grass green base with green glitter. It applied very well, and I used two coats. I know a lot of people have had problems with Kleancolor polishes smelling bad. I really didn't get that at all though. I was expecting the worst, but it was fine. :-)

Color Club Glitter Envy. This is from the new sparkle collection, and I actually have the whole collection. I will be showing them to you soon. I just put this one on for today's mani. It's a neon green with silver and gold glitter. It's applied well, and I used three coats for this one.

Close up...

Next is Zoya Tangy. It is a bright lime green. I had a few issues with brush stroke, but got it to even out pretty well. This is two coats.

This one is Dare to Wear Fashion Fever. FF is another lime green, but has a crazy amount of glitter. It has bar glitter, regular glitter and hex glitter. The bar glitter is grass green and light green. It reminds me of Easter grass! There is also quite a bit of silver glitter. Lots going on with this one! I used three coats. Application was fine. It dried super fast.

Close up....Doesn't it look like Easter grass?!

Nicole by OPI Sea and Be Seen is one of the new Spring Target exclusives. It has a murky green base with flashes of gold. I had some problems with application on this one. The polish was pretty runny for some reason. Also had some issues with brush stroke. I'm not sure how I feel about the color on myself. It really pretty in the bottle. I'm just not sure it goes with my skin tone.

Another new Nicole Target Spring exclusive is Brilliant Idea. It is another murky colored green, but in glitter form. It really is more green than gold, but my pics. make it seem more gold. I like this one as a topper. I put two layers of BI over Sea and Be Seen.

And just because, here is a cool pic. of the two above polishes. I'm not sure what happened, but I kinda like it. lol

This next one is an oldie, but def. a good one. It's Sally Hansen Sonar. It was part of the special glitter collection. I missed them ALL! Ugh. Now I want them all, and they are so hard to find! I got lucky and found this one on ebay for $3! Sonar is a deep green jelly with square and regular silver glitter. I love, love, love this polish!! Application was good, and I used three coats. If anyone has any idea where I can find more of these please let me know! :-)

Close up...

Last for today, is Piggy Polish Green and Bear it. It is a bright shimmery lime green. It might have glass flecks in it too. :-) It's kinda hard to tell what they are. Application was great and I used two coats.

Close up.

If you've made it this far, thanks for looking! Don't forget to check back tomorrow for Part 2! :-)
