Spolied by Wet 'n Wild....Swatches and Review.

Good afternoon! I can't believe it's already Thursday! This week has flown by for me. I'm glad.....although I find myself needing to clean and do laundry, and I don't want to! ;-) I want to have it done before the weekend though, so I guess I will have to get on it. Ugh. I wish I was one of those women who love to clean, but I'm SO not. My best friend is, and I just don't understand it! LOL!

Wet 'n Wild has come out with a new line of polishes called Spoiled. So far, I've only seen them at CVS stores. They are $1.99 each. I'm not sure if they will be available anywhere else or not. There are quite a few colors. I believe over 20. They have some really pretty colors, and some that are your regular cremes. I picked up several of the more interesting colors, and I have several of them to show you today.

One thing about these polishes, the brushes look awful. They are pretty thick, and most of them have stray pieces sticking out. I was really prepared to have a mess on my hands while using them, but I was VERY surprised by how well the brushes worked for me. Now that might not be the case for everyone, but they worked for me. ;-)

Are Mermaids Real....this is a grape purple, with lots of gold shimmer. I used two fairly thick coats, and had no issues with application.

Shrimp on the Barbie...Isn't this an odd name?! It's a really pretty salmon color with the same gold shimmer as Are Mermaids Real. I used three coats, and application was good.

Jewelry Heist is a glitter top coat made up of copper, gold and pink glitter. I used two coats over Shrimp on the Barbie.

Vitamin C is an orange base with the same gold shimmer as the two above. This one was a bit more sheer, and I used three coats.

The last one I have for you today, is Deeper Dive. It's a gorgeous turquoise with glass fleck through out. I used two coats, and application was great.

I do have several more glitters and shimmers that I will be showing you soon. I really, quite like these polishes. What do you think of them? Do you have any of them? If so, which ones?

Thanks for reading, and I hope you are having a nice afternoon. :-)

Christmas themed mani. using Lynderella's and Wet 'n Wild.

Good afternoon! How is your day going? It's cold and dreary here, but DH and I have plans to got out tonight. I'm hoping the bad weather will hold off for a few hours. We are going to the Kansas City Country Club Plaza to see the Christmas lights, and eat at the Melting Pot. It's a fondue restaurant, so lots of yummy cheese and chocolate dips. This will be my first time there, and I'm excited! :-) I've wanted to eat there forever!

Anyway, I decided to do Christmas nails today. I started out with Wet 'n Wild Rockin' Rubies, which is part of the Ice Baby Holiday collection. It has fine red glitter with round, hex glitter. The polish was a bit on the thick side, but nothing too bad. I used three coats for full coverage. I had planned on just wearing this color, but then I started messing around with my Lynnderella polishes. I added a coat of Lynnderella I Can Afford It, which is made of of bright green glitter in different shapes and sizes. It also has a few gold and purple glitter pieces through out. I added a bit too much green, and decided it needed more red. So I grabbed another Lynnderella....Ruby Red Ruby. RRR is made up of all red glitter in different shapes and sizes. I am loving this combo, but dreading taking it off! I have on NINE coats of polish! That's including my treatment, base and topcoats.

Here are pics. of the finished mani.

Fallen Leaves Mani.

Good evening! How has your Monday been? Mine's been quite good. Still no word from the vet though. Hopefully, we will have more news tomorrow. I belong to a couple of online nail forums, and one of them has themes from time to time. Today's theme was fallen leaves, and I decided to take part in it.

I started out using China Glaze Below Deck, which is from this year's summer collection. Below Deck is a taupe color with a creme finish. I then used several different colored glitters. I used a burnt orange glitter, by a brand I picked up at Marshall's called Color Zone. The green glitter is by Love & Beauty which you can find at Forever 21. It's just called green. How original, huh? :-D It's an exact dupe to LA Girl's Purge from the Glitter Addict collection. It has small green glitter, and medium sized round green glitter. I used Wet 'n Wild Prancer from last year's holiday collection. It's med. sized red glitter in a clear base. The gold glitter pieces are NYX Girls Gilded Glitter. Of course, I had to see what it looked like matte, so I used Essie Matte About You.

First up, are the pics. before I used the Matte top coat.

Lynnderella Very Pretty Vampire & Wet 'n Wild Buy Me a Drink.

Good evening! Today, I have one very awesome polish to show you. I'm sure some of you have heard of Lynnderella, and the wonderful polishes she makes. If you are a glitter lover, you will LOVE her polishes! They are really fun and unique. She just recently started selling them, and I was lucky to get in on her last sale. I got five of them, and Very Pretty Vampire is the first one I decided to wear. I layered it over one of the new Wet 'n Wild polishes from the Halloween collection, On the Prowl. I FINALLY found them at CVS the other day. I used Buy Me a Drink with Very Pretty Vampire.

Buy Me a Drink is a deep wine color, with slight red and purple shimmer. I have to say application on this one was awful :-( The brush was bad and flared out on the end. The formula was on the thick side, and I got a little annoyed more than once while applying it. It's still a really pretty color though, and I will wear it again. I used two coats, and after cleaning it up as best I could, it looked okay.

I used one coat of Lynnderella Very Pretty Vampire on top. VPV has multiple shapes and sizes of wine, red and black colored glitter.

You def. want to click on these to get a better look at Very Pretty Vampire. ;-)

Fireworks Mani!

Happy Saturday!!! :-) Do you have any plans for today? Hubby and I are going to dinner, and to see Larry Crowne....the new Julia Roberts/Tom Hanks movie. I'm sure I'll like it, as I LOVE JR.

I am SO behind on posting! I have at least 15 manis. to show you in the next couple of weeks or so. Since it's the 4th weekend, I'm going to show you my fireworks mani. that I have on today.

I started out with two coats of Wet'n Wild black creme as my base. Then I put one coat of Kleancolor Fireworks on top. Fireworks has small gold glitter and gold, red and blue hex glitter. I added a couple of stars to each nail, using a polish from Claire's called Starstruck. SS is in a clear base with small gold glitter and holo stars. Of course I had to see what it would look like matte, so I added a coat of Essie's Matte About You.

It really does look like fireworks! ;-)

First two pics. are of the matte version.

The last two pis. are without the matte top coat.

I can't decide if I like with or without the matte best. I like it both ways! :-) Whatever you are doing today, I hope you have a great sat!

Party Nails Part 2 and Pink Wed.

Hey guys! How are you doing today? I'm driving myself CRAZY waiting on the vet's office to call me back with test results for both of my dogs. My regular vet (whom I love) isn't in today. So, one other the others is supposed to call me. I called around noon to see if the results were in yet, and they are. That was over three hours ago, and here I sit. Still waiting. I have to say, I'm a little annoyed. How hard is it to pick up the phone and call someone for 5 min?! My regular vet would have called me right away. Grr...I'm trying to stop myself from calling again. I'm just being impatient. I hate waiting on test results!

Anyway, now that I have that off my chest, lets get to my nails. After all, that's why you guys follow me. Sorry for the rant. ;-)

I have quite a few pics. to show you today. As I said in my last post, my birthday is tomorrow, and I decided to do "party nails" all week long. I'm only on my second mani. so I have a few more to go still. :-) Since it's Wed. I of course, had to add pink to the line up.

I started off using two coats of Essie French Affair from the spring collection. It's a pale pink. Application was a bit streaky, but ended up okay. I then added two coats of Ulta's Pinata-Yada-Yada which is a mixture of different sizes, and colors of glitter. Then I added a coat of Wet 'n Wild Fantasy Makers in rainbow bar glitter. It's named Black Magic which I think is an odd name from rainbow glitter. I didn't stop there. I decided to see what it would look like matte, so I added a coat of Essie Matte About You. Finally, I was done! lol!

Here's what it looks like with everything matted....You pretty much need to click on the pics. to really see what these manis. look like. I don't know why they didn't show up better. :-/

Here it is without the matte.

I know this is a dark pic. but I like how the glitter looks. If you click on it, you'll see what I mean. It looks like it's glowing. ;-)

Close Up.

The next two pics. are with just the Ulta Pinata-Yada-Yada on top.

Last but not least, here is Essie French Affair on it's own.

Whew! That was quite a few pics. So, which mani. do you like the best?

Good news....the vet finally called, and for the most part, everything is okay. I feel exhausted from the wait! I need to get out of the house for awhile now. Think I'll run to Ulta and see if I can find any new polishes. ;-)

Ulta Pinata-Yada-Yada over WnW Black.

Good morning! Today, I have a mani. to show you, that I had on for a few days last week. I loved it so much, I couldn't change it the next day. It's Ulta Pinata-Yada-Yada over Wet 'n Wild Black. PYY is a multi colored glitter in a clear base. The black base really made it stand out. I also added a coat of Essie's Matte About You on top. You'll have to tell me which version you like best. I had a hard time deciding. I really liked both versions. :-)

First up are the pics. of it matted.

So....which do you like better? With or without the matte topcoat? Thanks for looking, and have a great day! :-)
