Party Nails Part 2 and Pink Wed.

Hey guys! How are you doing today? I'm driving myself CRAZY waiting on the vet's office to call me back with test results for both of my dogs. My regular vet (whom I love) isn't in today. So, one other the others is supposed to call me. I called around noon to see if the results were in yet, and they are. That was over three hours ago, and here I sit. Still waiting. I have to say, I'm a little annoyed. How hard is it to pick up the phone and call someone for 5 min?! My regular vet would have called me right away. Grr...I'm trying to stop myself from calling again. I'm just being impatient. I hate waiting on test results!

Anyway, now that I have that off my chest, lets get to my nails. After all, that's why you guys follow me. Sorry for the rant. ;-)

I have quite a few pics. to show you today. As I said in my last post, my birthday is tomorrow, and I decided to do "party nails" all week long. I'm only on my second mani. so I have a few more to go still. :-) Since it's Wed. I of course, had to add pink to the line up.

I started off using two coats of Essie French Affair from the spring collection. It's a pale pink. Application was a bit streaky, but ended up okay. I then added two coats of Ulta's Pinata-Yada-Yada which is a mixture of different sizes, and colors of glitter. Then I added a coat of Wet 'n Wild Fantasy Makers in rainbow bar glitter. It's named Black Magic which I think is an odd name from rainbow glitter. I didn't stop there. I decided to see what it would look like matte, so I added a coat of Essie Matte About You. Finally, I was done! lol!

Here's what it looks like with everything matted....You pretty much need to click on the pics. to really see what these manis. look like. I don't know why they didn't show up better. :-/

Here it is without the matte.

I know this is a dark pic. but I like how the glitter looks. If you click on it, you'll see what I mean. It looks like it's glowing. ;-)

Close Up.

The next two pics. are with just the Ulta Pinata-Yada-Yada on top.

Last but not least, here is Essie French Affair on it's own.

Whew! That was quite a few pics. So, which mani. do you like the best?

Good news....the vet finally called, and for the most part, everything is okay. I feel exhausted from the wait! I need to get out of the house for awhile now. Think I'll run to Ulta and see if I can find any new polishes. ;-)

  1. I'm buying Pinata-Yada-Yada and with that post I see it was the right choice!

  2. Lilach....You know there are quite a few multi glitters like this out now. I have at least ten of them. I went through a phase where I thought I had to have them all. LOL! Imagine that! ;-) Anyway, I've found that out of all of them, Pinata-Yada-Yada is my absolute fav. So, I think you made the right choice! ;-)

  3. omg i love these together! gorgeous.
these manis always remind me of yummy cuppycakes(:

  4. Cute! I just got a NYX polish that is similar to Pinata Yada. I'll have to try this one out :D

  5. Perfect manicure for a birthday. Happy Birthday sweetie. So glad everything is okay with the 2 dogs. It's horrible waiting for a call. You keep imagining the worse. Your nails look like an amazing party! Love them.

  6. That kinda looks like the new Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday version! Very pretty combined :).

  7. BeautyBehaved....Thank you! :-) They do remind me of cupcakes too! ;-)

Bailey....Thanks! I also have the NYX but haven't used it yet.

Lucy....Thank you so much! It's good to see you around again! I had wondered where you were. Hope everything is okay. Yes, I absolutely can't stand waiting for calls from the doctor or the vet. I end up almost making myself sick as I do think the wrost. Wish I wasn't like that!

Deborah....Thank you! There's a new version of HB?!? What does it look like? I didn't know there was a new one! I must see it. LOL
