Butter London Holiday Polishes.....Swatches and review.

Good evening! I have two, of the three Butter London 2011 Holiday polishes to show you. I wore Tart With a Heart yesterday. It's a gray/pink with blue, green, orange and clear iridescent glitter. It's really best used as a layering polish. Application was good, but the formula was a little on the thick side. I used one coat of Tart With a Heart over two coats of China Glaze Pelican Gray. It's a pretty polish, and I do like it. However, it is very dupeable. I don't think it's worth $14 for sure.

Today, I wore The Black Knight. It has a black base with fuchsia, blue, red, and silver glitter. Again, this one was on the thick side, but not too bad. I used two coats, and it did apply pretty well for it being a bit thick. I quite like this one a lot. While I do have other black polishes with multi glitter, I don't believe I have one with these certain colors only.

There is a third polish in the collection, that I didn't get. It's called Fairy Lights. It looks like a pinkish purple metallic to me, and I have plenty of those. I ordered from the Butter London website, and as of right now, they are all three still in stock.

First up, I'll show you the pics. of The Black Knight.

Lynnderella Connect the Dots over Cosmo. Wild Thing.

Good afternoon! I haven't done pink Wed. for a couple of weeks, so thought I'd get back to that today. I also really wanted to wear another of the Lynnderella polishes I got. The one I choose happens to look great over a bright pink. I'm wearing Lynnderella Connect the Dots, which just might be the most unique polish ever. It has multi shapes and sizes of black and white glitter. The glitter isn't a sparkly glitter. It's more of a matte glitter. I used it over Wild Thing, which is the polish that I got for free from Cosmo. I did a blog on it not too long ago. You can see pics. of it here: http://alisnailnews.blogspot.com/2011/08/pink-wed-and-kitty-update.html

L'Oreal Owl's Night and NYX Girls Gilded Glitter.

Happy, happy Friday!!! Is it just me, or does it seem like it was a long week? Even though it was a short work week? Maybe it's because I've been sick half the week. I don't know. It just seems like it's been a long one. I FINALLY feel better today! Not 100% but I can breathe again, which is always good! LOL!

Last night, while I was in Walgreen's picking up some meds. I came across a new L'Oreal fall display. I grabbed a couple of them, and am wearing one today. It's called Owl's Night. It's a murky green, almost black base. It also has lots of gold flecks in it. Application was great, and I used two coats. I probably could have gotten away with only one, but I had a couple of nails that I did too thinly the first time.

I also messed up my left hand, so I decided to add a coat of NYX Girls Gilded glitter over top to save it. I didn't feel like taking it off, to redo it. Gilded glitter is one of my fav. layering polishes. LOVE it! It's made up of gold glitter pieces in a clear base. I wish they would make this in all different colors. That would be awesome! ;-)

First up, are pics. of the completed mani. (don't forget to click) ;-)

Owl's Night on it's own.

I almost forgot to add a pic. of it matted. I used Essie's Matte About You.

Thanks so much for looking, and have a great Friday! :-)

Love and Beauty Rose Petal Collection. Lots of Pics!

Happy, Happy Friday!!! :-) I need a nap! LOL! I'm sooo tired right now. I've been really busy trying to get things ready for our upcoming vacation, that I've worn myself out. Before I've even left....don't you just love that? We also having company coming over tonight.

Anyway, I have a great little collection to show you today. It's from Forever 21 and the bottles are shaped like little roses. The colors are really pretty too. All glitters, but one. Kinda odd, there's just one cream.

Here's a pic. of the collection.

I chose the black one to wear first. It's just called Black/Silver. That's how most of these are named. Not real original on the names, but the colors and cuteness of the bottles make up for that. ;-)

Black/Silver is a black jelly with lots of silver glitter. Application was great, and I used two coats.

Here are close up bottle pics. of the rest of the collection. I will be swatching them soon. :-)

Do you see any you might be interested in? If so, you can get them at Forever 21 in store and online. They are $1.80 each so a great price. :-)

Fireworks Mani!

Happy Saturday!!! :-) Do you have any plans for today? Hubby and I are going to dinner, and to see Larry Crowne....the new Julia Roberts/Tom Hanks movie. I'm sure I'll like it, as I LOVE JR.

I am SO behind on posting! I have at least 15 manis. to show you in the next couple of weeks or so. Since it's the 4th weekend, I'm going to show you my fireworks mani. that I have on today.

I started out with two coats of Wet'n Wild black creme as my base. Then I put one coat of Kleancolor Fireworks on top. Fireworks has small gold glitter and gold, red and blue hex glitter. I added a couple of stars to each nail, using a polish from Claire's called Starstruck. SS is in a clear base with small gold glitter and holo stars. Of course I had to see what it would look like matte, so I added a coat of Essie's Matte About You.

It really does look like fireworks! ;-)

First two pics. are of the matte version.

The last two pis. are without the matte top coat.

I can't decide if I like with or without the matte best. I like it both ways! :-) Whatever you are doing today, I hope you have a great sat!

Ulta Pinata-Yada-Yada over WnW Black.

Good morning! Today, I have a mani. to show you, that I had on for a few days last week. I loved it so much, I couldn't change it the next day. It's Ulta Pinata-Yada-Yada over Wet 'n Wild Black. PYY is a multi colored glitter in a clear base. The black base really made it stand out. I also added a coat of Essie's Matte About You on top. You'll have to tell me which version you like best. I had a hard time deciding. I really liked both versions. :-)

First up are the pics. of it matted.

Pics. without the matte top coat.

So....which do you like better? With or without the matte topcoat? Thanks for looking, and have a great day! :-)

My Super Bowl Mani,China Glaze Lighthouse, and OPI Black Shatter

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! :-) Are you watching the game tonight? Who are you rooting for? I'm going for the Steelers, though I won't be too upset if they don't win. ;-) I did do a Steelers mani. though. and will be watching the game and having some yummy food.

Here's a pic. of the final mani. I did. I used China Glaze Lighthouse and OPI Black Shatter.

Here is CG Lighthouse. It's actually the first yellow that I've ever liked on myself. This is a great yellow/gold color with glass flecks through out. I used three coats.

A few more pics. with Black Shatter. The first two are without top coat, and the third is with a TC.

Here are a few pics. of Black Shatter over OPI Houston we have a Purple, which I posted about in my previous blog.
