Matte Lippmann Glitter in The Air & China Glaze Empowerment

Happy Pink day! ;-) I can't believe it's already Wed! I've been slacking this week....sorry about that! I'm not sure why, as I have so many manis. to show you. Today's mani is of course, pink. I used Lippmann Glitter in The Air and China Glaze Empowerment. I know I've shown you both of these before, but not together. :-) Last time GITA was over a blue and Empowerment was worn on it's own. I quite like them together. ;-)

I started out with two coats of China Glaze Empowerment, which was part of the 2010 breast cancer collection. It's a med. pink cream. Application was great. I then added Lippmann Glitter in the Air. I LOVE this polish, but it's kind of a pain to work with. You really have to fish to get the glitter out. I ended up using three coats of it. I added a coat of Essie Matte About You, and I was done. :-)

The first three pics. are with the Matte top coat.

The next two pics. are without the Matte top coat.

Do you like it with or without the matte top coat best? As always, thanks for looking, and have a great day! :-)

Multi Shapes Glitter Mani.

Good evening! Have you had a good weekend? Mine was pretty good. Yesterday, hubby took me to Dave and Buster's for my birthday. I had never been before, and had a great time. :-) I've pretty much done nothing today, and it's been quite nice. ;-)

The mani. I'm showing you tonight is the one I wore yesterday to D&B's. I used seven different polishes. I started out with one thick coat of Essie Marshmallow, a squishy white. I then added one coat of Ulta Pinata-Yada-Yada, a multi colored/sized, glitter. Next, I used one coat of Love My Nails, All That, a purple, blue, and silver square glitter in a clear base. Then Sally Hansen In The Spotlight, a hologram bar glitter. After that, I added a few colored stars from Dear Laura pa AA03. Next, I added one coat of Love My Nails Pot O' Gold, diamond shaped glitter with regular gold glitter. Finally, I added a coat of Essie Matte About You, and I was done! I wasn't sure how this would turn out, but I ended up loving it! It was not thick at all for using so many polishes, which is what I was worried about.

First two pics. are with the matte top coat.

Close Up.

The next two pics. are without the matte top coat.

My Birthday Mani!

Hey guys! :-) How are you today? I'm having an absolutely wonderful birthday! :-) I got lots of great polishes to show you soon. Today, I want to show you my birthday nails. This is going to be short, as I need to get ready for my b-day dinner with my family. That, and my computer is being REALLY slow today for some reason. Anyway, I have lots of pics. for you. ;-) (imagine that!)

I used Essie Flirty Fuchsia as my base. FF is a great neon pink....it is not fuchsia. lol! It applied well, and I used two coats. I then added one coat of Kleancolor Chunky Holo Candy. It's in a pinkish/clear base with orange and pink glitter. I then added one coat of Lippmann Happy Birthday. I love this polish! I will never get tired of it. It's kinda funny though.....I didn't realize that it had square glitter in it. It has different colored hex glitter, small round multi colored gliter, and multi colored square glitter. Finally I added different birthday nail stickers. I'm loving this mani. It's bright, sparkly and fun. :-)

First, up is the final mani....as usual, click the pics. to get a much better view. ;-)

With just Happy Birthday...

Party Nails Part 2 and Pink Wed.

Hey guys! How are you doing today? I'm driving myself CRAZY waiting on the vet's office to call me back with test results for both of my dogs. My regular vet (whom I love) isn't in today. So, one other the others is supposed to call me. I called around noon to see if the results were in yet, and they are. That was over three hours ago, and here I sit. Still waiting. I have to say, I'm a little annoyed. How hard is it to pick up the phone and call someone for 5 min?! My regular vet would have called me right away. Grr...I'm trying to stop myself from calling again. I'm just being impatient. I hate waiting on test results!

Anyway, now that I have that off my chest, lets get to my nails. After all, that's why you guys follow me. Sorry for the rant. ;-)

I have quite a few pics. to show you today. As I said in my last post, my birthday is tomorrow, and I decided to do "party nails" all week long. I'm only on my second mani. so I have a few more to go still. :-) Since it's Wed. I of course, had to add pink to the line up.

I started off using two coats of Essie French Affair from the spring collection. It's a pale pink. Application was a bit streaky, but ended up okay. I then added two coats of Ulta's Pinata-Yada-Yada which is a mixture of different sizes, and colors of glitter. Then I added a coat of Wet 'n Wild Fantasy Makers in rainbow bar glitter. It's named Black Magic which I think is an odd name from rainbow glitter. I didn't stop there. I decided to see what it would look like matte, so I added a coat of Essie Matte About You. Finally, I was done! lol!

Here's what it looks like with everything matted....You pretty much need to click on the pics. to really see what these manis. look like. I don't know why they didn't show up better. :-/

Here it is without the matte.

I know this is a dark pic. but I like how the glitter looks. If you click on it, you'll see what I mean. It looks like it's glowing. ;-)

Close Up.

The next two pics. are with just the Ulta Pinata-Yada-Yada on top.

Last but not least, here is Essie French Affair on it's own.

Whew! That was quite a few pics. So, which mani. do you like the best?

Good news....the vet finally called, and for the most part, everything is okay. I feel exhausted from the wait! I need to get out of the house for awhile now. Think I'll run to Ulta and see if I can find any new polishes. ;-)

Party Nails with Frankens by Jaybird!

Good morning! I don't have a lot of time, but wanted to get this up. I have to go to the vet in about 30 min. I'm taking my two dogs in for their yearly shots and blood work. I nervous! Is that silly?! They are my babies, and I just want/hope everything comes back normal. *sigh* I hate being nervous!!

This is my birthday week (Thurs.) and I decided to do party nails all week. Something new everyday. :-) Well, minus yesterday. I just did a regular color. Starting today though, I will have party nails! ;-)

I decided to do a skittles mani. with frankens that I got from jaybird. They all have glitter in them, so they are perfect. :-) You can find jaybird's nail blog at http://polishedpirate.blogspot.com/ and her sale blog at http://polishedpiratesblogsale.blogspot.com/ You should check her out, she has really great polishes. I love them!

The polishes I used are Blue Me, a pale blue with different colored hex glitter. Purple Herple, a medium colored purple with different colored hex glitter. In the Pink, a medium colored pink shimmer with different colored hex glitter. Last but not least, Green Within Me, a grass green shimmer with different colored hex glitter. All applied wonderfully and I used three coats of each.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you have a great day! :-)

Sinful Colors Ciao Bella

Good morning! Ugh...Mon. again! LOL! I'm still half asleep here. We had terrible storms in the middle of the night, both Fri. and Sat. night. So I had hardly any sleep. I am SO ready for storms season to pass!

Today, I'm going to show you my mani. that I did yesterday. I used Sinful Colors Ciao Bella. I *think* it might be new. I found it at Walgreens Fri. and I had never seen it before. I know Sinful Colors are famous for renaming their colors and saying they are new. Anyway, Ciao Bella is a pretty deep blue jelly, and it has glass flecks in it! Application was good, and I used two coats. I also added a butterfly sticker to my ring finger. I was in a hurry when I put it on, so I'm not too pleased with how it ended up. It needed to be lower than it was. It's okay. I guess. ;-)

Without the sticker.

Have you seen this Sinful before? I'm really curious to know, if it's new or not. So, if you know let me know. :-) Have a great day!

Essie Bonded....An oldie but goodie!

Happy Friday!!!!! This week really flew for me, and I can't believe it's already Fri. I'm not complaining though. ;-) I have a great polish to show you today. It's from Essie, and it's called Bonded. I didn't even know it existed until a couple of months ago. Someone posted pics. of it on the MUA nail board. As soon as I saw it, and being the red lover that I am, I knew I had to have it. It took me awhile to find it, but I finally found it on ebay for a total of just $5 I have no idea when this came out and it's been said to be the red version of Essie's famous Starry Starry Night. I'm not sure about that, but I do know it's a gorgeous red. It's a bright cherry red with red and silver glitter/shimmer. It almost glows! ;-) Application was great, and I used two coats.

Thanks for looking! I hope you have a wonderful Fri! :-)

Lise Watier Fun in the Sun and Lori Anne Silver Glitter.

I have on another polish from Canada today. It's a brand I had never heard of. I'm not sure if it's a Canada brand only or not. I think it might be. I also think they only release around five or so new colors a year. I might not be right on the number, but from what I've read, it's very few. They are great colors though. My husband brought three home for me. The first one I wore is called Fun in the Sun. It's a great summer color. A bright jelly red. It's almost a neon color, but not quite. I only had to use two coats for it to be opaque, which is unusual for a jelly. Application was pretty good. A bit runny, but nothing too bad.

I decided to top it off with Lori Anne Silver Glitter. I LOVE this glitter. It's more of silver chips to me, than the normal round glitter. I know there are tons of silver glitters out there, but this one is pretty unique to me.

First up, here are pics. of both together.

Click to see the glitter MUCH better. ;-)

Fun in the Sun on it's own.

Close up pics. of the two together. You can see that the glitter is just a bit different than the normal silver glitter.

Have you ever heard of either of these brands?
