New Icing Glitters....swatches and review...Part 1

Good morning! Today's post is going to be a long one.....I have lots of pics. to show you. I was in Icing the other day, and found new glitters! They have so many good glitters there, it's crazy! I got several, and actually left some behind. I'm sure I'll get them eventually though. ;-) As always they were buy one get one 50% off. I don't think that ever changes, and I hope it never does! ;-) While I was there, the girl checking me out, happened to mention that they are getting Magnetic polishes within the next week! I'm so excited to try them out. I don't have any magnetics yet, but I've wanted some forever! I'll def. be grabbing them when I see them. ;-)

Okay, on to the pics! :-) (by the way, click on the pics. for a much better view of the glitters)

Written in the Stars-a clear base with a blueish tint, it has med. round holo pieces, and blue holo stars. Application was good, but you do kind of have to pick the stars out. They are a little hard to get, but not terrible. I've def. had worse, and this polish is so pretty, it's worth it. I layered it over another Icing polish. This polish doesn't have a name, and it came in a cube with four minis. It's a med. blue with lots of silver shimmer. Application was great. The formula was a bit on the thin side, so I used three coats.

Pics. of the two together.

The mini. blue polish without a name....I really wish it had a name, and a full sized bottle. I really love this polish!

Next is my fav. of them all....After Party. AP is made up of multi colored shreds of glitter. I def. don't have anything like it. At all. I was a little worried about how this one would apply. I was afraid it would stick up or be rough, like some bar glitters are. However, it applied wonderfully, and completely smooth. I was really surprised. I applied two coats over Finger Paints Black Expressionism.

Last, but not least, is Birthday Beyotch....ha,ha...love the name! ;-) BB is made up of multi colored, small and med. sized round glitters. I know we've all seen this one before, but I just can't seem to pass up a multi colored glitter....plus the name kinda rocks. ;-) I applied two coats of BB over Revlon Jelly. Jelly is a bright pink jelly. I think it might be my fav. pink jelly. Application was great, and I only needed two coats for it to be opaque.

Pics. of the two together first.

Whew! That was a lot of pics. to post! What do you think about these new glitters? Do you plan to pick any of them up, or have you already? I'm really loving them...Icing does know how to make a good glitter polish. ;-) I will have Part 2 for you in the next few days or so.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you have a great Sunday! :-)

Orly Sea Gurl and Pure Ice Heartbreaker

Good afternoon! How is your day going? I'm procrastinating big time today! I need to clean the house and do laundry, and so far I've done everything but either of those! LOL! I hate cleaning! Ugh. I suppose I'll start on it, when I'm finished with this. Today, I have the last of the Orly Birds of a Feather collection that I got. I didn't end up getting two of them. Peachy Parrot is just way to frosty for my liking. Lucky Duck is a really pretty green, but it's pretty close to OPI Jade is the new Black. I'm trying to stay away from getting to many dupes. Anyway, the last one I have to show you is Sea Gurl. It's a dark gray base with lots of silver shimmer. It dries to a bit of a metallic look. This color reminds me of pencil lead! LOL! Silly, but it does. I could have gotten away with one coat, but I had a bit of an issue with brush strokes, so I used two. It's a nice color, but it's my least fav. out of the four I got.

Sorry these pics. are the greatest. It was a rainy day when I took these, yesterday.

I decided to jazz it up a bit, by putting a coat of Pure Ice Heartbreaker on top. It gave it a pretty green shimmer.

Well, I guess I will go get started on the cleaning. Try not to be too jealous! LOL! ;-)

Orly Nite Owl

Happy, happy Friday!!! :-) This is going to be a short post, as I have an appointment to get to soon. I wanted to show you the second polish I have on from the Orly fall collection. It's called Nite Owl. I love the name, and the polish! I'm a nite owl myself! ;-)

Nite Owl is a taupe base with lots of silver shimmer. It reminds me quite a bit of Essie Mochachino. It's a great neutral color that pretty much can be worn for any occasion. It's a great work color without being too boring. Application was great, and I used two coats.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you are having a great Friday! :-)

Brash Electric Sky

Good morning! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend! :-) Today, I have another polish from Brash to show you. Brash is found at Payless Shoe store for only $2.99 The one I have on today, is called Electric Sky. It's a medium sky blue with silver shimmer. Just like Sargent Khaki, application was absolutely wonderful. I did need two coats this time, but that's really no biggie. I hardly ever just use one, so that was very unusual for me. ;-) I'm very impressed with Brash polishes. I can't think of one thing I don't like about them. Electric Sky reminds me a lot of Butter London's Victoriana. Just a bit more bluer and maybe slightly darker. I'm going to have to do a comparison post on them. Can you imagine if you could get a dupe to Victoriana for only $2.99 instead of paying $14.00?! That would be pretty good! :-)

Thanks for looking, and I hope you have a great Sunday! :-)

Brash Sergeant Khaki....New polish line!

It's FINALLY Friday! I was starting to think it would never get here this week. ;-) Do you have any plans for the weekend? I'm not sure what I'm doing, but whatever it is, it will be inside! Last night, at 6:30pm it was still 105 degrees outside. Isn't that insane?! We are under yet another heat warning until, get this....next Wed! More craziness!! I'm really, really,REALLY ready for fall weather. This heat and I do NOT mix well. Blah.

Anyways, I have a new nail polish brand to tell you about. It's called by Brash Cosmetics, and it's only sold at Payless Shoe stores. This line is much better than the line of polish they carried last year. Brash polishes all have awesome sparkles to them! They either have glitter, shimmer or glass fleck. I only bought four out of maybe twelve of them. I will def. be going back for more. They are $2.99 each.

The one I have to show you today is called Sergeant Khaki. It's a mossy green with tons of silver shimmer. It's odd, but in some lights the shimmer looks gold, but it's really silver. This is pretty unique polish, and I don't believe I have any other like it. Speaking of fall, it would make a great fall color. Application on this was a dream! Absolutely perfect, AND only ONE coat! Yes, really! I have absolutely zero complaints about this polish. :-)

Have you seen, or hear of this brand yet? If so, what are your thoughts?

I hope you are having a wonderful Friday! :-)

I'm back!! ;-) NOTD Sally Hansen Very Cherry.

Hey guys! How is everyone??? It feels good to be back! I missed my blog buddies!:-) I was gone longer than I thought I would be, but I had a GREAT vacation. We went to Steamboat Springs, Co and it was so nice there. The weather was perfect, but it sure is hot back home, in KS. I mean it's HOT! When we got home it was 108 degrees. I wish I could have brought the awesome CO weather home with me. I picked up a lot of great polishes while I was away, and when I got home, I found more new collections here. One of them is he new Sally Hansen Xtreme Wears. I picked up most of them, and today, I have on Very Cherry. It's a great pinkish toned red with lots of silver shimmer. Application was pretty perfect, and I used two coats.

Have you seen this collection? I found it at Target, but I hear it's also showing up at Walgreen's with four extra colors. I haven't spotted them myself, but I'm going o check again today. Well, it's good to be back and thank you for sticking with me! :-)

Essie Bonded....An oldie but goodie!

Happy Friday!!!!! This week really flew for me, and I can't believe it's already Fri. I'm not complaining though. ;-) I have a great polish to show you today. It's from Essie, and it's called Bonded. I didn't even know it existed until a couple of months ago. Someone posted pics. of it on the MUA nail board. As soon as I saw it, and being the red lover that I am, I knew I had to have it. It took me awhile to find it, but I finally found it on ebay for a total of just $5 I have no idea when this came out and it's been said to be the red version of Essie's famous Starry Starry Night. I'm not sure about that, but I do know it's a gorgeous red. It's a bright cherry red with red and silver glitter/shimmer. It almost glows! ;-) Application was great, and I used two coats.

Thanks for looking! I hope you have a wonderful Fri! :-)

Claire's Cosmic for Pink Wed.

Happy June! I almost forgot to put my pink on today! I'm so off on my days this week, because of the holiday weekend. I ended up putting on a new polish, that I picked up at Claire's over the weekend. It's called Cosmic, and it's a neon pink with lots of silver shimmer. I LOVE it! I have never seen a neon pink that has silver shimmer before. Polish with silver shimmer is my new fav. I'm making it my mission to get all of them that I can. :-) Application was great, and I used three coats for full coverage. It dried super fast in between coats though.

You def. need to click on these, so you can see the silver shimmer. ;-)

Thanks for looking, and have a great day!
