New Sally Hansen Gems Crush swatches and review!

Good evening! I have a great new Sally Hansen collection to tell you about. I had no idea there was going to be another SH collection out already. I found them at CVS. The collection is called Gem Crush. There are eight polishes, and they are all glitters! They look like a mix of the OPI Muppet collection and the China Glaze Eye Candy collection. I don't have any of the CG Eye Candy collection yet, but I do have all of the Muppets. I have to say, that I actually like the Sally Hansen collection better. The reason being is, they apply opaque in one thick coat, or two thinner coats. How great is that?! Also, they are fast drying, and they do dry very fast. I also love the brush. It covers most of my nail in one swipe. They are pretty much awesome all around. I have two of these to show you in this post, and will show you the rest in the next few days.

First, here is a pic. of all the bottles.

L-R Glitz Gal,Lady Luck,Big Money,Cha-Ching,Razzle Dazzler,Showgirl Chic,Be-Jeweled and Bling-tastic

I wore Showgirl Chic yesterday, and loved it! It's a silver glitter with blue hex glitter. It looks like a dupe to China Glaze Lorelei's Tiara. I used two coats, and application was wonderful.

Today, I have on Lady Luck which is a deep pink, with silver holo hex glitter. I used two coats, and application was great on this one too.

Bottom line.....if you are a glitter lover, you need to get these. :-) They are fantastic. This is one of my fav. collections in a while. I found them at CVS, and I think that's the only place they've been found so far. I'm not sure if it's a limited collection or now. Hopefully it's not, and that way they will be easier to find.

Thanks for reading, and have a great night. :-)

Butter London Holiday Polishes.....Swatches and review.

Good evening! I have two, of the three Butter London 2011 Holiday polishes to show you. I wore Tart With a Heart yesterday. It's a gray/pink with blue, green, orange and clear iridescent glitter. It's really best used as a layering polish. Application was good, but the formula was a little on the thick side. I used one coat of Tart With a Heart over two coats of China Glaze Pelican Gray. It's a pretty polish, and I do like it. However, it is very dupeable. I don't think it's worth $14 for sure.

Today, I wore The Black Knight. It has a black base with fuchsia, blue, red, and silver glitter. Again, this one was on the thick side, but not too bad. I used two coats, and it did apply pretty well for it being a bit thick. I quite like this one a lot. While I do have other black polishes with multi glitter, I don't believe I have one with these certain colors only.

There is a third polish in the collection, that I didn't get. It's called Fairy Lights. It looks like a pinkish purple metallic to me, and I have plenty of those. I ordered from the Butter London website, and as of right now, they are all three still in stock.

First up, I'll show you the pics. of The Black Knight.

OPI Warm & Fozzie.

Happy Friday!!! I'm SO glad it's the weekend! Do you have any fun plans? We have several fun fall things going on this weekend. Tomorrow night, we're going to a college football game. Then on Sunday, we're going to a fall festival at a Cider Mill. They make yummy cider donuts, and of course, apple cider. After that, we're going to another fall festival at a winery. They make a special apple wine for this time of the year. I'm also going to go see my horse sometime this weekend. :-)

Today I have on OPI Warm & Fozzie which is another polish from the Muppet collection. This one did not fail. :-) I know the Muppet collection is a Holiday/Winter collection, but it has quite a few great fall colors. Warm & Fozzie is one of them. I am loving this color. It's a brown/copper color with pink micro glitter. Application was great, and I used three coats.

Close Ups....these pics. remind me of a pile of leaves. :-)

Fozzie bear thanks you for looking! ;-)

Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop

Happy pink Wed! :-) I have one of the newer Lippmann glitters to show you. Well, I say it's newer, but I guess it's been out since July. I swear, it seems like the last few months have flown by! It doesn't seem very long ago that it was July....and 110 degrees outside! I'm sure glad it's not that hot now though.

Anyway, Candy Shop is pretty much Happy Birthday with a med. pink base. It has small multicolored glitter, and multicolored hex glitter. It really does remind me of candy....like jawbreakers or gumballs.

I didn't have any problems with application at all. Sometimes with glitter polishes like this, they tend to be thick and goopey. This one wasn't like that at all. It was opaque in two coats, and dried fairly quickly.

I love pink, and I love glitter, so I ended up taking quite a few pics. That seems to happen a lot lately. ;-)

A few close up's.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you are having a great night! :-)

OPI Designer...De Better! Plus LA Girl Flamboyant

Good evening! I have another polish from the OPI Muppet collection to show you. This one is called Designer...De Better! This polish is a metallic silver foil, with small copper and pink flecks. I have absolutely nothing like this in my collection at all. Not even close, so I'd say it's pretty unique. ;-) Application was great. I was really surprised, as some metallic finishes tend to have brush stroke issues. This one did not. It applied very smoothly. I used two thick coats.

You def. might want to click on these, to see the copper flecks better. ;-)

Here are a couple of close up's...The first one is in the sun, and the second in the shade.

I decided to put one coat of LA Girl Flamboyant over Designer...De Better. Flamboyant is a burnt orange glitter in a clear base. It has small pieces of glitter, and also hex glitter.

Thanks so much for reading, and I hope you are having a great night! :-)

OPI Excuse Moi!

Good evening! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good, and thankfully non eventual! LOL! I need some down time. I spent some time yesterday afternoon, decorating for Halloween. I sooo love this time of year! It's my fav. :-) I've also been working on a polish room, and worked on that yesterday. My husband even helped out with that for awhile. I can't wait until it's done. I'll have to post pics.

I ended up wearing Meep-Meep-Meep all weekend. I am loving the OPI Muppets collection. Today I'm wearing Excuse Moi! I LOVE this polish! I think I might need to get a back up. It's a pink base with teal, green, silver, gold, pink and orange glitter. This might be one of my favs. of the collection. Application was great, and I used two coats. I could have gotten away with one thick coat though.

It was a bit of a rainy day, so no true sun pics. but I think they came out pretty well. Hopefully. ;-)

Thanks for looking! I hope you are having a good night! I'm off to walk the dogs, and then bed. :-)

OPI Muppets....Meep-Meep-Meep!

Happy Saturday!! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? I'm not sure what we're going to do, but clean today. Fun, fun! LOL! I'm okay with that. It's been such a stressful, nerve wracking week for me. I just hope it's a uneventful weekend here.

I have the first of the OPI Muppet collection to show you today! I was at the mall Thurs. night, and as I was walking past JcPenny I spotted a full untouched Muppets display! I was so excited! LOL! I grabbed nine of them. I got a really good deal too. They were buy 2 get 1 free. Plus, I had two $10 off of $20 coupons to use. They let me use both! I actually had to get four one night, and go back yesterday to get the other five. For some odd reason, they won't sell you more than four polishes at a time. Isn't that odd? I found it to be really strange. Has anyone else run into that? If you have more than one form of payment you can two two different transactions. I don't know Just seems strange to me.

Today, I have on Meep-Meep-Meep which is a fuchsia pink with glass flecks throughout it. Application was awesome! It applied really well, and dried super fast. I used two coats. The Muppet collection is OPI's Holiday 2011 collection, which I'm sure most of you already know. ;-)

Thanks so much for looking, and I hope you have a wonderful Saturday! :-)

Pink Jelly Sandwich & Good News About My Dog!

Good afternoon! I FINALLY have good news on Buster! Yay! :-) He had his ultrasound done yesterday, and it was clear! I can't begin to tell you how relieved I am. I have been such a nervous wreck for the past few days. He's still twitching, but we're pretty much ruled out anything terrible. It's most likely from the Pred. which we're just starting to wean him off. So hopefully, he will just get better and better. I feel like I keep saying it, but thanks again, to all of you for the good thoughts etc...It really did mean a lot to read them. :-)

Since yesterday was pretty much taken up with vet stuff, I did my pink mani. today. I started out using two coats of Revlon's Starry Pink. I already did swatches and a review on it here: http://alisnailnews.blogspot.com/2011/09/revlon-starry-pink.html I then, added two coats of Revlon Just Tinted in Victorian. Victorian is a sheer med pink jelly. With the two combined it looks like a bubblegum pink with silver hex glitters.

Close Up's.

Thanks so much for looking, and I hope you are having a great day! :-)

Tony Moly Jupiter

Happy Saturday!!! I have a great polish to show you today. It's a South Korean brand called Tony Moly. I found them on ebay. I bought two of them, but will def. be getting the rest of the collection soon. There are four or five of them, and they are all glitters.

The one I'm going to show you today is GT05 also known as Jupiter. It's a grape colored glitter, with flecks of blue, red, purple and pink throughout. It has med. sized round blue glitter, and small purple hex glitter. Once again, this is pretty unique polish, and I don't think I've seen another one like it. I used two coats. Application was on the thick side, but nothing too bad at all. I can let that pass on a polish this
awesome! ;-)

Close Up.

So, do you have any big plans for the weekend? I really have no idea what we're going to do. There's a fall festival going on near by, that I'd like to go to at sometime over the weekend. I LOVE fall, and pretty much everything that has to do with it. :-)

Whatever you do, I hope you have a fabulous weekend! :-)
