Butter London Spring 2012 Swatches & Review.

Good afternoon! How was your Valentine's Day? Did you do anything special? Hubby and I went to a late movie and dinner at Fork and Screen. We saw Safe House. It was okay, but not great. It was pretty much the only movie left! We waited a bit too long to get tickets. Do you have a Fork and Screen near you? For those of you that don't know what it is, it's a theater with comfy seats, that recline. They also serve you food and drinks. It pretty awesome. ;-)

I have two Butter London polishes, from the Spring collection to show you today. First is Knackered over Finger Paints Black Expressionism. It's pretty sheer on it's own, so that's why I layered it. It looks gorgeous over black though. It really brings out all the colors of Knackered. It's a multichrome that flashes green,purple,silver,pink,and in the right light, blue. It also has fine holo silver glitter through out. Application was good, but like I said, it is sheer. I think it works best over black. I used two coats.







In this pic. you can really see the holo glitter.



Next up is Disco Biscuit. It's a very bright pink jelly with glitter. It also has flashes of purple. Being a jelly, it took four coats. With that being said, application was really very good. If you don't want to use so many coats, it would look good over another bright pink.





Do you have either of these? I rather like them both, quite a bit. Especially Knackered.

Butter London Holiday Polishes.....Swatches and review.

Good evening! I have two, of the three Butter London 2011 Holiday polishes to show you. I wore Tart With a Heart yesterday. It's a gray/pink with blue,green,orange and clear iridescent glitter. It's really best used as a layering polish. Application was good, but the formula was a little on the thick side. I used one coat of Tart With a Heart over two coats of China Glaze Pelican Gray. It's a pretty polish, and I do like it. However, it is very dupeable. I don't think it's worth $14 for sure.

Today, I wore The Black Knight. It has a black base with fuchsia,blue,red, and silver glitter. Again, this one was on the thick side, but not too bad. I used two coats, and it did apply pretty well for it being a bit thick. I quite like this one a lot. While I do have other black polishes with multi glitter, I don't believe I have one with these certain colors only.

There is a third polish in the collection, that I didn't get. It's called Fairy Lights. It looks like a pinkish purple metallic to me, and I have plenty of those. I ordered from the Butter London website, and as of right now, they are all three still in stock.

Butter London No More Waity, Katie

Did you get up to watch the Royal Wedding? It's funny, I really had no interest leading up to it. Then last night, I decided to Tivo it. Well, I happened to wake up around 2am or so, and decided to turn the tv on. I ended up watching coverage about an hour before the wedding, and then about half of the actual wedding. I fell asleep, and woke up as the carriage was taking off. I have to say it was all very lovely, and I ended up getting sucked in. ;-)

For my mani. today I used Butter London No More Waity, Katie. It's a dusty purple with purple glitter. While I LOVE this color, I have to say application was truly awful. I honestly don't think I've ever had a polish be as goopy as this one was. It looks like it's years old! So, while I really dislike the application, I do really love the color.

I used one coat of Revlon Perplex and one coat of No More Waity, Katie.
