Claire's PINK collection!

I've had this set for about a month, and just decided to swatch them today. I am glad I did! I'm always amazed by how much I end up liking Claire's polish. These are all winners! The set is made up of two glitters (LOVE) a neon, cream, and two shimmers. Application was pretty good on all of them. There are a couple that were streaky, but all turned out well. Oh....and these are all no namers.

First up is the neon pink. This one is super bright! I think it might even be brighter than CG Pool Party.....if that's even possible. This is two coats.

This one is a super pretty dark pink, almost red base with lots of pink and dark pink glitter. I think it would make a good Christmas color. LOVE,love, love this one! I ended up doing my full mani in this color.

Next is one of the shimmers. In the right light you can get a blue tone to it as well. I couldn't for the life of me, capture it on camera.

This is my absolute fav. of the bunch. It's a hot pink with tons of fine silver glitter. I wish they made a bigger bottle of it. I may go back and grab another set for backups!

Bottle pic....look at all the glitter!

Close up of the finish

This one surprised me the most. It looks like a pastel pink in the bottle. It even applied like one. However, once on the nail, it's a bright bubble gum pink.

The last one is a deep, almost purple shimmer. Not usually my kind of color, but I really like this one.

I apologize for the messiness. Right in the middle of my swatching, it started to thunder. My two dogs, especially my beagle is terrified of thunder. He kept jumping up on my lap, and my lab was pacing. Poor babies. :-( So I kinda hurried through.

Buster listening for the thunder.

Napa telling me to put the polish down! lol

Poor things....don't they look scared? :-( I hate it when they are scared, therefore, I hate it when it storms. I have two cats as well, and one of them hides under the bed when it storms. The other one, along with my horse could care less!

Anyway, I need to get off of here for now. I might have another post with the new Milani Haute collection later tonight. If not, then tomorrow. Have a great day!

Beauty Gems,Essence Surfer Babe and WnW

Today I have several swatches for you. They are all from my haul that I posted a few down.

First up are the Ulta Beauty Gems. Little gems they are! ;-) I was surprised by how much I ended up liking all of them. They are made up of two creams, one glitter and one shimmer/foil.

Emerald is a forest green jelly with green and gold glitter. This is tied for my fav. of the bunch. This is two coats, as were all four. No TC used.

Smoky Quartz is one of the two creams of the group. This isn't usually my kind of color, but I really do like this one. It's a good color for fall, and I def. will be wearing this again.

Pink Ruby is the second cream and also my other fav. very pretty dark pink.

Last but not least, is Amethyst. It's the shimmer/foil of the group. Another good one for fall.

The next two are part of the new Essence Surfer Babe collection. There are four in total, but I just got the two. I also found these at Ulta.

The World's Coolest is a robins egg blue, and the formula was quite milky. I used four coats, but I do like the way it turned out.

I decided to try the last three polishes with Cover Girl's Disco Dazzle over top. I like the way they all turned out. :-)

Pointbreak is the second of the essence that I picked up. I LOVE this color. It's a gray cream. I actually bought two of this one. I plan to use it in my up coming giveaway. This was two coats. Application was great on this one.

And with CG's DD

The last one I have for you today, is Wet n Wild Blue Moon. I picked it up at the grocery store yesterday. It says it's a new shade. I don't know if it really is, but it was the first time I'd seen it. It's a very pretty inky blue with blue shimmer. Application was a bit messy, but that could have just been me. LOL! This one was three coats, but could have gotten away with two.

With CG's DD

Whew! I feel like I've been swatching all day! I did more than this, but those are for another day. :-) How has your week been going so far? It feels like it should be Fri. already! Wishful thinking. ;-) Well, I hope you all have a wonderful night. I'm off to grab some dinner, have a bath and catch up on my tv shows.

Nfu-Oh #51

This is another one of my birthday polishes. I am in love with this polish! I'm not even sure how to describe it. It's so full of color, flakes, AND it's a jelly! Amaing polish. I do believe it's in my top 5 favs. It's a deep purple jelly base with flashes of green, blue and red. The flakes are a deep pink almost red color. You NEED this polish! :-) My pics. don't do it justice, but I tried. This is four coats, but I could have gotten away with three. Maybe even two. Application was great for me. I know a few other bloggers have said it's on the thick side, but mine wasn't at all. You can pick this polish up at fabuloustreet.com

and of course, the bottle pic.

China Glaze Flying Dragon

My mani over the weekend was CG Flying Dragon. I've had this polish for quite awhile, and this is the first time I've worn it. I'm not sure why, as I really do like it. It's pretty unique. I don't think I've seen another color quite like it. China Glaze calls it a neon purple, but on me it's darker. More of a grape purple. It has micro fine pink and blue glitter. Very pretty! It dried a bit matte on me, and oddly enough I liked it better without a top coat. That doesn't usually happen with me. For some reason, I think the glitter stands out more w/o the TC.

The first two pics. are without.

I hope you all had a great weekend! :-)

Back from vacation and polish haul!

Warning....major pic. spam! ;-)

Wow, it's been awhile! It feels like it anyway. I see I have a few new followers....welcome! :-) So....vacation to Colorado was absolutely wonderful. We stayed in Steamboat Springs, and it was just so nice and relaxing. Just what I needed. The temps. were amazing. It felt like fall, and we were wearing sweatshirts, swimming in the natural hot springs, and using the hot tub daily. It got down to 50 in the evening a few times. It was such a nice break from the awful hot, and humid weather here in KS. As soon as we pulled back into KS the temp. read 108 degrees.....at 8pm! I was ready to go home, grab my pets, and go back to Colorado! We went to Rocky Mountain National Park, and loved it so much, we decided to go back the next day. Have you been there? It is really beautiful, and the wildlife watching is great. Here are a few pics. of many from the trip.....I won't bore you with too many. ;-) If you want to skip the trip pics. just scroll down a bit for my nail news.

As always, click pics. to make bigger. :-)

I HAD to take a pic. of this! Too funny! I'm sure most of you have seen Cast Away with Tom Hanks...edit to add that this pic. was NOT taken in RMNP.....it wouldn't have been so funny if it was. Just sayin. ;-)

Then there is this cute little guy, and I will stop with the trip pics. ;-)

Ok, now on to the nail news. I don't know if it was because I was in the water a lot or what, but my nails kept splitting on me while I was away. :-( I had to file them down a bit, but not too bad. They seemed to be super dry while I was there. I did come home with new polish! Probably not anything you haven't already seen, but new to me. I have never seen NYX polish in person, and found some in CO. I grabbed four of them. Plus a few more things...

Here's a pic. of everything...

NYX polishes in Maroon,Asphalt,Rainbow Sparkle and Le Prive

Pic. of Asphalt bottle....it's black with multi colored glitter!

Rainbow Sparkle bottle

I found a new collection of four Essence polishes, called Surfer Babe. I bought two different colors. The World's Coolest and Point Break. I got two of the Point Break, and am going to put one in my giveaway that is coming up soon, so stay tuned! :-)

I also saw a new display of Sally Hansen Diamond polishes. I grabbed two of them. Poppy Love and Cut the Cake! I picked up China Glaze Grape Juice as well.

I took close up pics. of the SH so you could see the sparkle. They both (actually the whole collection does)have glitter. First up is Poppy Love...

Cut the Cake!

I have been trying to find the Ulta Glam Goth collection for awhile, and I finally found it! I also fond the Ulta Beauty Gems collection, which was on sale for $4.95 so of course, I had to get it.

Last, I found these super cute matchbox files from Tweezerman. Half of the sale goes towards the Humane Society which is very close to my heart. I'm thinking about trying to find more to add to my giveaway.

Whew! That was a lot of pics! I warned ya! :-) Do you have any of the polishes I posted?

I will have swatches of all the above, and much more coming soon.
