Pahlish Great Wide Open and Finger Paints Pink Perscective

I have two great colors to show you today, and both are great summer colors! Speaking of summer, is it hot where you live? It has been crazy hot here for the past two weeks. I'm talking 110 degrees with quite a bit of humidity on top of that. Scorching hot! We're finally getting a bit of a break today. It's only 73 at the moment which is just awesome! :-) It's supposed to be in the 90's but even that will feel cool compared to what it has been.

Were you able to grab any of the colors from the neon Finger Paints collection? I got all but one of them, and I meant to get all of them. I somehow skipped one of the pinks. I have the pink I did get, to show you today It's called Pink Perspective. It might just be my fav. neon pink I've used yet. It's just so bright! I love it! Application was great, and I could have gotten away with one coat, but I used two.

I then applied Pahlish's Great Wide Open on top. I am in LOVE with this polish! I want to put it over everything! I'm wearing this same combo. as my pedi. right now as well.
Great Wide Open is a mix of different shapes and sizes of matte white glitter and rainbow glitter. Application on this one was great too. I didn't have any problems placing the glitter, or getting enough out of the bottle. You can find Pahlish on etsy here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/pahlish

First up, the two together.

Essie Poppy-Razzi.....Swatches and Review Part One

Good evening! I have part of the new Essie neon summer collection to show you! I was really surprised to find them, at Walgreens the other day. I didn't think they would be out for at least a couple of more weeks. The collection is called Poppy-Razzi, and has four colors. Lights,Camera,Action and Bazooka. The first two I'm going to show you, are Lights and Action.

Both of them applied pretty sheer, so I used three coats. They dry to a matte like finish. Do you remember the Orly Plastix collection? They dry the same way as those do. Kind of a matte/rubbery finish. I actually quite like that, but I did use a topcoat. I am loving these colors, and think they will be my new go to summer colors. They are great colors for pedis. too :-)

First up, is Lights. It is a really bright pink. I LOVE this color, and think it just might be my new fav. pink. :-)

This is a pic. before I added the topcoat, and you can see the matte finish.

Next up, is Camera. It's a neon red!!! I've been wanting a neon red forever, and this one does not disappoint. It does have the slightest orange tint to it in certain light, but it's mostly bright, hot, red goodness! ;-) Love it!

I will have the other two colors for you soon. I actually don't have them yet. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get the whole collection or not. However, after wearing and loving these two, I've decided I must go back and get the others.

Have you seen this collection yet? Do you think you will get any of them?

Thanks so much for reading, and I hope you are having a great night! :-)

Lynnderella Connect the Dots over Cosmo. Wild Thing.

Good afternoon! I haven't done pink Wed. for a couple of weeks, so thought I'd get back to that today. I also really wanted to wear another of the Lynnderella polishes I got. The one I choose happens to look great over a bright pink. I'm wearing Lynnderella Connect the Dots, which just might be the most unique polish ever. It has multi shapes and sizes of black and white glitter. The glitter isn't a sparkly glitter. It's more of a matte glitter. I used it over Wild Thing, which is the polish that I got for free from Cosmo. I did a blog on it not too long ago. You can see pics. of it here: http://alisnailnews.blogspot.com/2011/08/pink-wed-and-kitty-update.html

Thanks for looking, and have a great day! I'm off to take a nap with my dog. :-)

Cosmo. Wild Thing,New York Summer Glitter, and Kitty Update!

Happy Wed! First of all, I want to think all of you who sent good wishes for my Morris cat. They worked! :-) We got good news Mon. at the vet. He had no signs of heart disease, and the slight murmur he has, is a benign condition. He really needs to have a tooth out, as it has a hole in it. It's red and swollen, and most likely causing him some pain. Since his Cardiac exam was so good, the vet said he is at no more risk than a normal cat. So tomorrow morning, he will be having his dental, with a tooth removal. Even though we got the good news, and the go ahead, I'm still a little nervous. I always am when one of my pets has to be under. Hopefully everything will go just fine. I'm sure he will not be a very happy cat, until he's home and comfy. ;-)

Today, for pink Wed. I have on a polish from Cosmopolitan magazine. It was free polish, I got for sending some kind of a text message. I had heard about it on MUA so I tried it, forgot about it, and got it the other day. A couple months later. It's actually a pretty nice polish. It's called Wild Thing, and it's a very hot pink color. The formula was a bit think, but nothing too awful. It was free, so I'm not complaining. ;-) I used two coats, and this is one bright color! It was so bright it was hard to get great pics. but they are pretty close to accurate.

I added a coat of New York Summer Vegas Silver to it. VS has small silver glitter pieces and holo bar glitter. I'm not always a fan of bar glitter, but I quite like this one, a lot.

First up, are pics. of the finished mani. (you might want to click on the pics. to see the glitter much better)

Here is Wild Thing on it's own.

Thanks for looking, and if you could send good thoughts/wishes/prayers etc...to my Morris cat that things go really well for him tomorrow, we'd really appreciate it! :-) I'll update tomorrow after he's home.

Color Club Space Case and CC Starry Temptress Topcoat

Happy Pink Wed! Are you wearing pink today?? I have on a color from one of Color Club's summer collections. It's from th Starry Temptress collection. Space Case is bright bubble gum pink with glitter. It's not the normal shinny glitter though. It's a duller non shiny glitter. I know some really don't care for this kind of glitter, but I kinda like it. I'm always open for something new and different, and this polish is def. that, because of this glitter. The collection also comes with a shinny glitter topcoat called Starry Temptress. So, if you don't like the duller glitter, you can still make it shine. ;-) I have pics. of both to show you. Application was great, and I used two coats of Space Case and one coat of the Starry Temptress topcoat.

The first three pics. are of Space Case alone, and the last three pics. are with the Starry Temptress topcoat.

You def. need to click to see the bigger pics. ;-) You can see the glitter MUCH better.

With sparkle topcoat.

So, which do you like better, with or without the topcoat? I have a feeling most of you will like it with the topcoat. ;-) I like it both ways. I do like it without the topcoat for something different, but it's really pretty and sparkly with the topcoat. I like both.

Thanks for reading and have a great Wed. :-)

My Birthday Mani!

Hey guys! :-) How are you today? I'm having an absolutely wonderful birthday! :-) I got lots of great polishes to show you soon. Today, I want to show you my birthday nails. This is going to be short, as I need to get ready for my b-day dinner with my family. That, and my computer is being REALLY slow today for some reason. Anyway, I have lots of pics. for you. ;-) (imagine that!)

I used Essie Flirty Fuchsia as my base. FF is a great neon pink....it is not fuchsia. lol! It applied well, and I used two coats. I then added one coat of Kleancolor Chunky Holo Candy. It's in a pinkish/clear base with orange and pink glitter. I then added one coat of Lippmann Happy Birthday. I love this polish! I will never get tired of it. It's kinda funny though.....I didn't realize that it had square glitter in it. It has different colored hex glitter, small round multi colored gliter, and multi colored square glitter. Finally I added different birthday nail stickers. I'm loving this mani. It's bright, sparkly and fun. :-)

First, up is the final mani....as usual, click the pics. to get a much better view. ;-)

With just Happy Birthday...

Claire's Cosmic for Pink Wed.

Happy June! I almost forgot to put my pink on today! I'm so off on my days this week, because of the holiday weekend. I ended up putting on a new polish, that I picked up at Claire's over the weekend. It's called Cosmic, and it's a neon pink with lots of silver shimmer. I LOVE it! I have never seen a neon pink that has silver shimmer before. Polish with silver shimmer is my new fav. I'm making it my mission to get all of them that I can. :-) Application was great, and I used three coats for full coverage. It dried super fast in between coats though.

You def. need to click on these, so you can see the silver shimmer. ;-)

Thanks for looking, and have a great day!

Claire's Neon Pink Crack! Plus China Glaze Pelican Gray.

Good morning! Are you having a good weekend? Mine's been pretty good so far. :-) Last night, was a little scary though. We had several tornado's touch down. Scary stuff, but thank goodness, all is well this morning. Why do these things always happen in at night?! I think I've decided that I'm never going to get caught up on my sleep! There is always something that keeps me from getting a full nights rest. I think today will be another nap day. ;-)

I stopped by Claire's yesterday, as I had heard they had crack polish now. Who doesn't anymore? LOL! I wanted to see what colors they had. See if they had anything different. They had silver, black and neon pink. I grabbed the neon pink, since I have yet to see that color in crack form. ;-) I have to say, it's the best crackle I've used so far! I was very surprised by how well it cracked. I wish all crackles worked this good! I layered it over China Glaze Pelican Gray. PG is a new fav. of mine. I just got it, but I had passed it up every time I saw it. I thought it was just another gray cream. Then I saw some swatches, and had to have it. It's a light gray with silver sparkle. Love it! :-) I used two coats of PG and application was great.

First up, Pelican Gray with Claire's Pink Cracked. (that's the actual name)The first two pics. are with top coat, and the last two (with the crackle) are without top coat.

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday! :-)
