Pumpkin Mani. and more news on my dog.

Good evening! I finally got a call from my vet today. She was able to talk to the specialist, and got the okay to start reducing the Prednisone, which is great news. We're only going down to 15mg a day from 20mg but it's a start. Now, we just have to hope his blood levels stay up without the Pred. Also, they want me to bring him in for an ultrasound of his stomach tomorrow. They want to make sure the shaking/twitching is def. from the Pred. both our regular vet, and the specialist do think it's the Pred. but want to make certain of it. He did have x rays on Fri. that were clear. I'm of course quite nervous about the test, but hoping for the best. Our appointment is at 10:30 tomorrow morning, so if you could sent good thoughts, prayers etc..that everything turns out clear and good I'd really appreciate it....again. ;-)

I have another theme mani. to show you. Today, the theme was pumpkins. I started out using Kleancolor Metallic Orange. This is a gorgeous color! It practically glows. Application was wonderful, and I could have gotten away with one coat. I did two, but really didn't need to. I then added one coat of Love and Beauty Green Glitter. For the final part, I added some pumpkin sticker that I picked up from a local beauty store. I wasn't sure how this would turn out, but I really like it. :-)

Pics. of the finished mani.

Revlon Devil's Candy and Kleancolor Red Hot.

Good morning! Did you have a good weekend? I was FINALLY feeling better, so I decided to go to a football game Sat. night. I had a great time, but it poured down rain for about 15 min. and guess what? I woke up Sun. morning with a raging sore throat. Again. Ugh. I'm sooo sick of being sick. :-( It's making me a little bit grumpy. Just ask my husband. ;-)

I am back to nubs. Again. It seems like everytime, I get my nails to a longer length that I like, I brake a nail. Or two. Which is what happened on Fri.

I wore this mani. on Sat. I used Revlon Devil's Candy first. Devil's Candy is a great red jelly. It's almost worth getting for the name alone. ;-) I have so many reds, but I just couldn't pass this one up. I did at first. Two or three times. Finally, I just had to get it. Application was pretty good. It was just a little runny, but nothing too major. I used two coats. I put a coat of Kleancolor Red Hot on top. Red Hot, is a red tinted base with red hex glitter.

Here is Devil's Candy alone.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you have a happy Monday! :-)

China Glaze Grape Pop & Kleancolor Born To the Purple.

Today, I have the purple version of the mani. I posted on Sun. I used China Glaze Grape Pop, which is my all time fav. purple creme. I love it. It's def. my go to purple. Application is great, and I only have to use one coat. I put a coat of Kleancolor Born To the Purple, which is a clear purple base with purple hex glitter.

Here is China Glaze Grape Pop on it's own.

I apologize for being so short and to the point today, but I am not feeling very well at all. I think I'm getting sick. :-( Terrible sore throat, cold, achy etc...Ugh. I don't want to be sick, and I have so much to do! Isn't that how it always works? Anyway, thanks for looking, and I hope you are having a great day.

OPI Dating a Royal & Kleancolor Blue-Eyed Girl.

Good afternoon! How has your long weekend been so far? Mine's been pretty good. I had a rough few days this week. As most of you know, my kitty, Morris had to have two teeth removed on Thursday. Well everything went really well, but that night he was really sick. All night long. He was hurting too. He kept throwing up, and was really restless. I finally ended up calling the vet at 11pm as I was starting to worry. Turns out, he just has a reaction to the anesthesia. That's what was making him sick. I took him in, and he got a anti nausea shot. That really helped, and I also have been giving him pain meds. He's pretty much back to his normal kitty self. :-) I didn't feel so hot myself for a couple of days, and I think it's due to lack of sleep. I'm going to go have a nap as soon as I'm done here. :-) Thanks to all of you for the kind messages, thoughts, prayers etc...for Morris. I really appreciate it. :-)

Anyway, that's why I've been kind of slow on posting lately. I have a great combo. to show you today. I used OPI Dating a Royal, which is a royal blue jelly. Application was great, and I used two coats. I was surprised it was opaque in two, as it was on the sheer side. I then added a coat of Kleancolor Blue-Eyed Girl. BEG is a clear blue tinted base, with large pieces of blue hex glitter, and small glitter pieces. I really like how this combo turned out. :-) It's very squishy looking.

Here are a couple of pics. of OPI Dating a Royal on it's own.

This is my Morris cat the day he came home from his surgery. I love the cute robot scarf they put on him. He, however did not. LOL! It didn't last very long on him. ;-)

Thanks for looking, and I hope you are having a great weekend! I'm off to nap. ;-)

Orly Emberstone and Kleancolor Chunky Holo Poppy.

Good morning! How is your weekend going? I was FINALLY able to get some sleep! It was so nice not waking up at 7am to men pounding on the roof. :-) I started working on a huge nail polish purge last night. I will be working on it quite a bit today. It was finally time. I'm weeding out the dupes, and colors I just won't wear. Once I'm done, I will be having my first blog sale! It won't be for a couple of weeks though. I have a lot of polish to go through and swatch. I've only just made it through my reds, and that took a couple of hours! Seriously!

Today I have Orly Emberstone to show you. It's from the new Orly Mineral FX collection. It should be hitting Sally's soon, if not already. I believe the release date is Sept. 1 but some stores already have them out.

Emberstone is a gorgeous firey red/orange. It has pink and gold flecks in it too! Application was great, and I used two coats.

I decided to see what it would like, with Kleancolor Chunky Holo Poppy on top. It reminds me of goldfish! ;-)

I of course, had to try it matte and used Essie Matte About You.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you have a great Sunday! :-) I'm off to go purge and swatch polish. ;-)

Fireworks Mani!

Happy Saturday!!! :-) Do you have any plans for today? Hubby and I are going to dinner, and to see Larry Crowne....the new Julia Roberts/Tom Hanks movie. I'm sure I'll like it, as I LOVE JR.

I am SO behind on posting! I have at least 15 manis. to show you in the next couple of weeks or so. Since it's the 4th weekend, I'm going to show you my fireworks mani. that I have on today.

I started out with two coats of Wet'n Wild black creme as my base. Then I put one coat of Kleancolor Fireworks on top. Fireworks has small gold glitter and gold, red and blue hex glitter. I added a couple of stars to each nail, using a polish from Claire's called Starstruck. SS is in a clear base with small gold glitter and holo stars. Of course I had to see what it would look like matte, so I added a coat of Essie's Matte About You.

It really does look like fireworks! ;-)

First two pics. are of the matte version.

The last two pis. are without the matte top coat.

I can't decide if I like with or without the matte best. I like it both ways! :-) Whatever you are doing today, I hope you have a great sat!

My Birthday Mani!

Hey guys! :-) How are you today? I'm having an absolutely wonderful birthday! :-) I got lots of great polishes to show you soon. Today, I want to show you my birthday nails. This is going to be short, as I need to get ready for my b-day dinner with my family. That, and my computer is being REALLY slow today for some reason. Anyway, I have lots of pics. for you. ;-) (imagine that!)

I used Essie Flirty Fuchsia as my base. FF is a great neon pink....it is not fuchsia. lol! It applied well, and I used two coats. I then added one coat of Kleancolor Chunky Holo Candy. It's in a pinkish/clear base with orange and pink glitter. I then added one coat of Lippmann Happy Birthday. I love this polish! I will never get tired of it. It's kinda funny though.....I didn't realize that it had square glitter in it. It has different colored hex glitter, small round multi colored gliter, and multi colored square glitter. Finally I added different birthday nail stickers. I'm loving this mani. It's bright, sparkly and fun. :-)

First, up is the final mani....as usual, click the pics. to get a much better view. ;-)

With just Happy Birthday...

Zoya Kimmy & Kleancolor Chunky Holo Poppy

Good morning, and happy Sat! :-) I am up entirely too early for a Sat. morning! Especially since I didn't get to sleep until 2am! I def. think a nap is in order for today. ;-) My dogs woke me up really early today. I'm not sure why, but they were all excited, and ready to go. I on the other hand, was not. LOL! Do you have any plans this weekend? I'm not quite sure what I'm doing.....besides that nap later today. LOL!

I hope you aren't sick of seeing Kleancolor yet, because I have another new one to show you today. I also have Zoya Kimmy to show you. It's part of the new Sunshine collection, and I love, love,LOVE it! It's such a great red. It's a really bright red with gold sparkle. Application was great, and I used two coats. I could have def. gotten away with only one on this one though.

I then topped it off with a coat of Kleancolor Chunky Holo Poppy. CHP is an orange base with lots of gold, orange, and yellow glitter.

First up is Zoya Kimmy.
