Orly Sea Gurl and Pure Ice Heartbreaker

Good afternoon! How is your day going? I'm procrastinating big time today! I need to clean the house and do laundry, and so far I've done everything but either of those! LOL! I hate cleaning! Ugh. I suppose I'll start on it, when I'm finished with this. Today, I have the last of the Orly Birds of a Feather collection that I got. I didn't end up getting two of them. Peachy Parrot is just way to frosty for my liking. Lucky Duck is a really pretty green, but it's pretty close to OPI Jade is the new Black. I'm trying to stay away from getting to many dupes. Anyway, the last one I have to show you is Sea Gurl. It's a dark gray base with lots of silver shimmer. It dries to a bit of a metallic look. This color reminds me of pencil lead! LOL! Silly, but it does. I could have gotten away with one coat, but I had a bit of an issue with brush strokes, so I used two. It's a nice color, but it's my least fav. out of the four I got.

Sorry these pics. are the greatest. It was a rainy day when I took these, yesterday.

I decided to jazz it up a bit, by putting a coat of Pure Ice Heartbreaker on top. It gave it a pretty green shimmer.

Well, I guess I will go get started on the cleaning. Try not to be too jealous! LOL! ;-)

A Jelly/Glitter Sandwich! OPI,Pure Ice and Ruby Kisses.

Good afternoon! Is it just me, or does it feel like Friday, today?! I've been thinking that all day today. I have an AWESOME mani. to show you today. I can't take credit for it though. ;-) I'm sure some of you remember MeganChair. She used to be a nail blogger, but decided to take a break. She does still post on Make up Alley, on the nail board, and last night she posted a mani. I just had to try myself. For this mani. I used two coats of Ruby Kisses navy blue jelly. It doesn't have a name on it, but it does have a number. It's RNP142 if that helps anyone. This is a great polish! It's a deep navy jelly, application is great, and it's only $1.49! After using it, I added one coat of OPI Last Friday Night, then one more coat of the Ruby Kisses. Finally I added one coat of Pure Ice Heart Breaker. HB is also an awesome polish, and it too is cheap at only $2.00. HB is best used as a layering polish. It is has a clear/turquoise base with tons of green shimmer, which makes the polish so great.

First up are the finished mani. pics. (be sure to click on them, so you can see the awesome green shimmer!) ;-)

Close Up.

Zoya Gemma and Pure Ice Tease

Hey everyone!!! Wow, it's been awhile. It feels like forever. I'm back....kinda. I have a temp. fix to my camera, but am going to have to send it off for a couple of weeks, to get fixed. :-( I plan on swatching/taking pics. as much as I can before I send it off. That way I'll still have plenty to blog about while my camera is gone. I def. have plenty of polishes to swatch. I have a CRAZY amount of new polish. Soo....how have you all been? Good, I hope. :-)

I'm sure most of you already know, but Zoya has a new collection out. The Intimate collection for Spring. I bought three of the colors. Gemma,Jules and Dannii. I have Gemma to show you today. I absolutely fell in love with this polish after seeing a few other bloggers post pics. of it. It's an army jacket green with purple shimmer. I couldn't wait to get it on my nails.

Have you ever fallen in love with a polish you just had to have? Only to get it home, and be majorly disappointed with it? Well, I'm sorry to say, but this is Gemma for me. I was expecting a nice greenish color with a really pretty purple glow. Instead, I got what looks like I dipped my nails in pea soup with hardly and purple glow. :-( It was also a bit thick and goopey which is very unusual for a Zoya polish. Now I know I'm in the minority here, as most people seem to love this polish. I did too, from others pics. Unfortunately it's just not working for me. This one will be going in my swap/sell bin.

I used two coats of Gemma, and ended up putting a coat of Pure Ice Tease on top. I like it much better with the PI. PI Tease is a magenta base with purple glitter.

First up is Gemma.

With Pure Ice Tease over it.

So, what do you think of Gemma?

A weeks's worth of manis. Lots of different polishes and lots of pics! :-)

Hello, and happy Friday! :-) Wow, It's been an entire week since I last blogged....again. I'm so sorry about that. I promise I'm still around. The last couple of weeks have been absolutely crazy busy. First of all, I want to thank all of you who left comments and sent messages about my horse, Shortcake. I can't even begin to tell you how much it means to me. I'm happy to say, that she has been home for a week, and is doing very well. I've been checking on her four plus times a day. We have her at stables, since we don't live in the country...yet. We are very lucky that she is only about 5 min. from our house though. Anyway, between checking in on her, getting the house ready for Christmas, shopping for Christmas, having a car in the shop, meeting friends for Christmas get togethers I've just been super busy. I've still been doing my nails, taking pics. and picking up polish. I have a sad though. As of yesterday, I am back to my nubbins. :-( :-( I had a bit of a split in one of my nails yesterday. It wasn't too bad, and would have been possible to save. Before I could get to it though, I completely broke another nail. :-( So, I had to cut them all back down, and now they are short again. I hate it! It took me SEVEN months to get my nails the length they were, and now I have to start all over again. Ugh.

Here are pics. of most of my manis. from the past week. BEFORE I had to go back to nubbins. :-( The only pics. of my nails now, are the last pics. and that's what I have on today.

Okay, on to the good stuff. :-)

This is China Glaze Emerald Sparkle....LOVE this polish!

I then added a coat of Sally Hansen Rockstar Pink over top. It made me think of Christmas trees with lights.

Close up

This is a new Sally Hansen polish I picked up last week. It's called Peach Pave. It's a really pretty dark pink/peach color with gold flakes in it.

I added one coat of Pure Ice Dreamy over top.

Milani Red Sparkle is one of the new one coat glitters. These are awesome polishes! They actually really do only require one coat! First pic. is with top coat and the second is without.

Pure Ice Celestial is a great royal blue jelly. I think this color is normally called First Kiss or something like that. For some reason, I got a mixed up bottle. Celestial is usually a frosty blue which I would not have bought! lol

Next up is the silver holo Snowman polish. It's not really all that holo, but there are a few pieces in there. It looks much more holo in the bottle than it does on the nail.

With one coat of $OPI Flurry Up! On top. Super blingy!

With one coat of CND Gold Sparkle on top

Now for today's mani. and my nubbins. :-( I am really bummed about this. Is that silly?!? Anyway, here they are....Ugh.

I started out with one coat of China Glaze Party Hearty....one of the best Christmas polishes ever IMO. ;-)

I then added a coat of OPI Funny Bunny over Party Hearty

and with two coats of Funny Bunny over Party Hearty

Whew! That was a lot of pics. How have you all been? Are you as busy as I've been lately?

I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing weekend! :-)

Del Sol Trick or Treat,$OPI If You've Got It, Haunt It,Krack Polish and other Halloween Swatches.

Hey guys, I'm back again. :-) See my last blog below, for pics. of my Halloween stash. I'm back with a few swatches of them. These manis. are from this past week. I'm playing catch up tonight.

First up is OPI by Sephora If You've Got It, Haunt It. It's a chunky black glitter. It also has some silver and blue glitter through out. No problems with application, and I used two coats.

This one is one of the pumpkin polishes from Blue Cross. It's a fuschia base with chunky silver glitter. I used three coats.

Another pumpkin polish. This time I used the black. I just love these little guys!
:-) I do believe this just might be my fav. black cream. It was flawless and it applied like a dream! I really only needed one coat, but I used two out of habit.

Here it is with Wet n' Wilds Fantasy Maker Black Magic. This is from last year, and it's a rainbow bar glitter. I don't quite get the name, but I do love this polish!

The cute bottle...love it! :-)

Ulta Green With Envy is a black base with green shimmer. It was a bit messy to apply, and I used three coats.

Here it is with Pure Ice Heartbreaker over top. LOVE,LOVE,LOVE this top coat! I think everyone needs it! ;-)

One more of the pumpkin polishes. This time it's the neon purple one. As with all of these polishes I've used so far, application was great.

With black glitter by Nicole.

This next one, I call my Krack polish fail! LOL! Even though I was warned that the KP from Transdesign didn't work that great, I had to try it for myself. I got the green one to try. It looks like slime! It reminds me of the slime I used to get our of the 25 cent machines when I was a kid. lol! I guess that makes it ok for Halloween. I used a white polish for the base, and then I put the Krack polish on. Here's how it turned out...

Yeah, not so great huh?! lol...Needless to say, it didn't stay on!

Which brings me to my last polish of the week, and the one I'm currently wearing.

Del Sol Trick or Treat. This polish is amazing!!! Such an awesome color. It's an orange, bronze and lime green glitter inside. Outside in the sun it turns to a glitterly dark purple. I used four coats, but it was no biggie since it dried super fast.

Inside...

Changed all the way to it's outside color.

Whew! That was a long post. Now I just need to figure out what I'm going to do for my Halloween Mani. I'm going to keep it simple, just not sure what I'm going to use yet. Do you know what your Halloween mani is going to be?

Well, I'm off to bed....I'm worn out! It's been a long week! Good night all! :-)
