Orly Androgynie

Hey guys! This is going to be a short entry as it's late here, and I need to get to bed soon. I wanted to get this posted first. :-)

I have on one of the new Orly 2011 Holiday polishes. It's called Androgynie. It's a black jelly with small silver glitter,gold glitter,blue,green and copper hex glitter. Application was good, and I used three coats. Two coats is absolutely fine, but I wanted to get more of the hex glitter on my nails than the two coats gave me. This is def. a unique polish, and the most popular of the holiday collection. If you want it, I'd grab it while you can. It's selling pretty fast around here. I picked it up at Sally's.

Orly Rock Solid and my kitty.

Happy, happy Monday! Ha, Ha! I know. ;-) I'm kinda nervous right now. I have to take my cat to see a kitty cardiologist. He has a slight heart murmur, and has had for about five years. It's mild and hasn't changed, which is great. However, he needs to have a dental, and a tooth removed. :-( Well, to make sure he's okay with being put under for the surgery, because of the heart murmur, I'm taking him to have an ultrasound this morning. Just to make sure. I'm nervous though. He's my baby, and he's 13 years old. He's in great health, and people (even the vets)can't believe he's 13. He just had his yearly with blood work etc...and everything came back great. So I'm hoping for the best.

Over the weekend, I wore another one of the new Orly polishes. From the Mineral FX collection. It's called Rock Solid, and it's a dark gray, almost black. It has lots of fine holographic glitter in it. It's crazy sparkly! I love it! :-) I had no problems with application, and I used two coats.

I put this mani. on Sat. morning, and was starting to have a little bit of tip wear. So last night I jazzed it up a bit, instead of changing my mani. altogether. I added a coat of New York Summer Vegas Silver, which has lots of silver glitter and holo bar glitter.

The next couple of pics. aren't the best, as it was getting kinda dark when I took them. Also, try to ignore the nice drop of red polish on my first nail. I was swatching on nail wheels on and off all day yesterday. I manged to get some on my nail, of course. lol!

Orly Emberstone and Kleancolor Chunky Holo Poppy.

Good morning! How is your weekend going? I was FINALLY able to get some sleep! It was so nice not waking up at 7am to men pounding on the roof. :-) I started working on a huge nail polish purge last night. I will be working on it quite a bit today. It was finally time. I'm weeding out the dupes, and colors I just won't wear. Once I'm done, I will be having my first blog sale! It won't be for a couple of weeks though. I have a lot of polish to go through and swatch. I've only just made it through my reds, and that took a couple of hours! Seriously!

Today I have Orly Emberstone to show you. It's from the new Orly Mineral FX collection. It should be hitting Sally's soon, if not already. I believe the release date is Sept. 1 but some stores already have them out.

Emberstone is a gorgeous firey red/orange. It has pink and gold flecks in it too! Application was great, and I used two coats.





I decided to see what it would like, with Kleancolor Chunky Holo Poppy on top. It reminds me of goldfish! ;-)





I of course, had to try it matte and used Essie Matte About You.

Orly Sea Gurl and Pure Ice Heartbreaker

Good afternoon! How is your day going? I'm procrastinating big time today! I need to clean the house and do laundry, and so far I've done everything but either of those! LOL! I hate cleaning! Ugh. I suppose I'll start on it, when I'm finished with this. Today, I have the last of the Orly Birds of a Feather collection that I got. I didn't end up getting two of them. Peachy Parrot is just way to frosty for my liking. Lucky Duck is a really pretty green, but it's pretty close to OPI Jade is the new Black. I'm trying to stay away from getting to many dupes. Anyway, the last one I have to show you is Sea Gurl. It's a dark gray base with lots of silver shimmer. It dries to a bit of a metallic look. This color reminds me of pencil lead! LOL! Silly, but it does. I could have gotten away with one coat, but I had a bit of an issue with brush strokes, so I used two. It's a nice color, but it's my least fav. out of the four I got.

I decided to jazz it up a bit, by putting a coat of Pure Ice Heartbreaker on top. It gave it a pretty green shimmer.







Well, I guess I will go get started on the cleaning. Try not to be too jealous! LOL! ;-)

Orly Sweet Peacock.

Good morning! How is your weekend going? Mine's going pretty well. Yesterday, I shopped so long, that by the time I got home, my feet were killing me!! Something awful! I went to a Bath and Body Works event, and then I went to a store named Charming Charlies. Have you heard of it? Let me tell you, I was in there for over two hours! They have shoes,tons of jewelry,purses and a few clothes. It's mainly an accessory store. Love it there! We also just had an Anthropology and a Trader Joe's just open, so I stopped in both places. Complete madhouse at both places! I was exhausted when I got home. I told my husband it was hard work shopping! LOL! He just rolled his eyes at me. LOL! Today, I meeting my parents for lunch at a Jose Peppers. A really yummy mexican place.

Anyway, today I have on another polish from Orly fall. It's called Sweet Peacock. It's a med. blue shimmer, with silver shimmer as well. It really does look like a Peacocks blue. ;-) It dries to a metallic finish, it's really pretty. My pics. don't really do it justice. It was a ONE coater!!! Yay! I love one coaters! ;-) Application was a little on the thick side, but nothing terrible. I've def. seen worse.

Orly Nite Owl

Happy,happy Friday!!! :-) This is going to be a short post, as I have an appointment to get to soon. I wanted to show you the second polish I have on from the Orly fall collection. It's called Nite Owl. I love the name, and the polish! I'm a nite owl myself! ;-)

Nite Owl is a taupe base with lots of silver shimmer. It reminds me quite a bit of Essie Mochachino. It's a great neutral color that pretty much can be worn for any occasion. It's a great work color without being too boring. Application was great, and I used two coats.

Orly Fowl Play

Good afternoon! Today, I have a polish from Orly's new fall line to show you. It's called Fowl Play, and it's full of win! :-) It's pretty much a dupe to OPI Merry Midnight, which is pretty hard to find now days. So, if you've been looking for MM I'd def. pick up Fowl Play. There are a few differences. Fowl Play is a deeper purple color, and it also has small flakies that flash blue. Fowl Play also seems to be a bit more jellish than MM. Overall though, they are pretty similar.

Fowl Play is a deep purple jelly with big orange flakes and small blue flakes. Application was pretty good. It was a little on the thick side, but not so bad that it was hard to work with. I used two coats.

Orly Here Comes Trouble from the new Pin Up Collection

Happy Friday!!! :-) Is it just me, or has this week flow by?! Maybe it's because I was on vacation over the weekend. I don't know. Anyway, yay for the weekend! ;-)

Today, I have on a polish from Orly's new Pin Up collection. Here Comes Trouble. I am LOVING this color. It is a very bright,sparkly green. The color reminds me of Easter grass. :-) It has small and medium size grass green glitter. Application was really good. I had no issues at all, and it was opaque in two coats, but I used three anyway.

Do you plan on getting anything from this collection? There are four polishes. Two pinks that look pretty dupable to me. Then this one, and a purple glitter that looks like a purple version of Here Comes Trouble. I really want to pick that one up as well. I found them at Ulta, but the purple was already sold out. I'm hoping Sally's gets them in soon.

Orly Cosmic FX Fall Collection Swatches and UPDATE on my dog!

Last night I ran into Ulta, to pick up a few of the OPI Swiss polishes, and found a nice surprise. They had the Orly Cosmic collection out! I bought one of each. I have been waiting to get my hands on these, and they did not dissapoint. Even though a few could be dupes, I think I would pick the Orly. These are just so unique. They have more sparkle and color then the dupes. Before I post pics. I want to thank all of you for your kind messages about my dog. I have an update on him. Mon. he had more blood work,a sonogram and x rays. All came back normal. We then moved on to the bone marrow test. I got the results back for that today, and there is NO cancer!!! Totally made my day. Made my week! I have been sooo worried about him, and the results. I almost made myself sick with worry. Anyway, my little dog is going to be ok! :-)
